Though we had booked the Grutas de Garcia experience, unfortunately the caves were closed due to weather and renovations, but we were given an alternative private tour with Alex, and we had a wonderful half day tour with him. We visited the lovely horsetail waterfall and nearby observation deck, and then made our way to the "magical town" Santiago for a bit of a wander and lunch at La Postreria 77 (lunch not included, but affordable and delicious!). Alex was a wonderful guide; knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and interesting! And the sights were lovely - now we'll just have to come back to do the caves!★

Pollo and Alex were absolutely fantastic tour guides for our group. They picked us up and took us to some of the most stunning locations in Huasteca! The scenery and the views were amazing and they were very professional and knowledgeable of the history and landscape. They helped us take the best solo and group shots in all of the best locations and were absolute pros with the cameras helping us get amazing pano shots! They provided comfortable rides and cold beverages including sodas, water and mineral water. They took us to the most delicious lunch at a local restaurant in the city after exploring the canyon, and helped us plan for our next adventure providing helpful options. They were so attentive and accommodating with everything. We had a wonderful time getting to know them and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who visits Monterrey and wants to see some of the natural beauty in the surrounding mountains.★
