Reviews: Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace Day Trip from Munich
Guest User2025-10-17
Where to begin? First, Elisabeth the tour guide was the best tour guide I have ever had in my 20 plus tours I have taken. Knowledgeable, amicable, and the most clear directions I have had in a tour guide. She made a great experience even better! I would recommend her strongly for this tour! Our bus driver was great-as well! The tour itself was magical. Well, I have been on several scenic drives but this one may, emphasis on the May, be at the top of the list. Starting in Munich and driving through Ettal and then to the fairy tale tribute town (And the Passion Play) of Oberammergau was so picturesque. To top it off with tours of the Linderhof Palace and the Neuschwanstein Castle was a surreal experience. This was so amazing that I would do it again in a different time of year!
Reviews: Neuschwanstein & Linderhof - Fairytale Castles Tour from Munich
Guest User2024-07-25
I booked this trip for my family and I, and it was the highlight of our Germany trip. In this tour we visited first the Linderhof Palace, and then a stop in a smaller town, and ended the tour at Neuschwanstein Castle. The entire trip was really comfortable. The bus is air conditioned and even has a bathroom for emergencies. Periodically throughout the scenic drive through the mountains, our guide Courtney would give us a deep understanding of Bavarian history and other customs and stories of the region. Courtney was a really excellent and knowledgeable tour guide as well! She was incredibly friendly and attentive to each individual on the bus, even though there might have been at least 50 of us. Overall, I would give this experience a 10/10, and would recommend this trip to others!

The Neuschwanstein castle is a must see if you are near Munich. The bus trip was well planned. The guide gave us good information about how the tour would work but I thought she could have shared more about Ludwig and his death etc. The town at the base was quaint and we grabbed a bite at the nice hotel Muller Hohenschwangau. Don’t miss grabbing a beer at the little hut near the buses. No pictures allowed inside the castle but the st Mary’s bridge picture is a must.
Reviews: Berchtesgaden and Eagle's Nest Day Trip from Munich

My son and I went to the Eagles Nest last week. The views, when the weather is clear, are truly amazing. During the time were were there we had clear skies then the fog came in and it we were inside a cloud. Remembering what happened here put a damper on how beautiful it is. This is something anyone interested in the history of WW2, should see. What's funny was knowing that Hitler didn't like coming here because he was afraid of heights.
