Thoroughly enjoyed our evening kayak trip with Cian. He was fun, knowledgeable and told us Māori creation stories in a magical glowworm cave. The hot pools were really lovely and dinner was delicious. The weather gods were kind and we had the moon and stars reflecting off the glassy lake on the way home. Can totally recommend 😊

We booked the tour without a guide. It was good to explore the valley on our own using the brochure. The return bus transfer within the valley was a great feature. A beautiful place with many wonderful colors.

So much fun! It was a bit busy with other visitors but it was was beautiful and otherworldly. We are so glad we went. Nice gift shop too, and plenty of parking.


