Reviews: Reykjadalur: Horseback Riding Tour for Families & Beginners

Fantastic experience the staff were amazing and put me at ease when experiencing first time riding. The horses were well looked after and enjoyed the ride and returning to their fellow horses in the paddock.

We went riding with two children (10 and 11) and one adult, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The Icelandic horses were very well-behaved and relaxed, and they knew exactly what to do. The guides (Jeanne and Claire?) were incredibly patient with the children. My younger daughter had fallen off a horse during a riding lesson shortly before our holiday and was still a bit scared. Jeanne spoke to her patiently and then took her on a lead rope during the ride to help her feel more secure. We also did some tölt, rode through small streams, and there was plenty of time for photos. A wonderful memory, which is now framed and hanging in the children's rooms. Thank you for the fantastic experience!
