The view is beautiful. However, the castle itself doesn't have much to visit, only the tower (which also doesn't have much to see inside). Furthermore, the path to get there is extremely difficult, steep, on dirt and stones, to the point of being exhausting. It took us about 30/40 minutes to get there. For these reasons, given the price (and fortunately, we got a discount because of our age), I would say it's preferable to visit other places in Varenna. The view is indeed beautiful, but the castle itself doesn't have much to visit and the journey to get there is quite difficult.★

This was really well run logistically, everything was organized and left on time. We saw 2 towns in 2 countries in addition to a boat ride on lake Como plus free time in each of the towns. While we covered allot of ground, nothing felt rushed and there were enough stops throughout to remain comfortable. MarieErica (aka: Marika) was an amazing guide! She is a local Milanese and shared so much about the history of the city and Italy in general. She pointed out things as we drive by and explained what we were looking at, as well as hidden gems in each of the places. She has a great sense of humor that made the trip more fun. Guiseppe was our driver and did an amazing job navigating the roads. Highly recommend this day tour!★

The trip was awesome, our guide and bus driver were experts! Anna was great she was so knowledgeable throughout the whole trip. She knew so much about every area. The bus driver was great. All around the trip was awesome. Loved it
