Tim picked me up at a hotel across from where I was staying. The jeep had no A/C, and I was the lucky one because I was solo. I got to sit up front. Stopped at the fishing village, but not really. We just were on the side of the road looking out on the water at all the fishing boats. Fairy Stream first stop was very different, and the softness of the sand on your feet as you walk upstream is just lovely. There were several areas of deep holes that I stumbled over, but all was OK. Did not appreciate the guy with a snake wanting you to take a picture with for $50,000vnd so unnecessary have no idea why he was even there as it has nothing to do with the stream. On the return, I decided to walk up over the red sand, which was a great idea as you then miss the crazy section of rocks and deep holes. The next stop was white sand dunes. Had no idea we were to go on an ATV. However, they make you pay $ 600,000 to drive one. You do NOT need to pay this as you can just sit on the back while a driver takes you. I wish they had told me this was an option. Very windy up top. You could pay $50,000vnd to slide down the dunes, but I had done this a long time ago in Australia, so I didn't want to do it today. Spent about 20 minutes just standing around, and then an ATV takes you to another section near a body of water for another 20 minutes. Here, I sat down as it was not windy. The ATV takes you back to where you started. Now, onto the red sanddunes to watch the sunset. This was just lovely. Then was driven back to hotel.

We rented a scooter for 4 days. Egor delivered the scooter to us and also gave us tips about places to visit. The scooter was in good condition, easy to drive. This is a great place to rent a scooter and I will definitely recommend it!

Great morning spent travelling around Mui Ne looking at various sights, really enjoyed Ta Cu and found the dragon fruit farm surprisingly interesting. Our guide was very friendly and informative. Would recommend as an alternative to the sand dunes.


