Reviews: Merida Street Food Walking Tour

The streetfood tour experience was excellent. Usually we would not have dared to choose the small little shops, because we have no experience regarding quality. Especially when you are not proficient in speaking Spanish, it is a very good option to get accustomed to the local food. Our tourguide Diego was super kind. We loved about him, that he explained everything with competence. You could really feel that he is passionate about the local food and that everyone has a good time. Especially for us it was very helpful, that he spoke more slowly compared to other Mexicans that we know, because we were able to follow all of his thoughts. German is not as fast as Spanish. Moreover, after the trip we got an email with information on ingredients and recipes of the food that we have tasted, so that we can take this experience home. Thank you Diego, it was a big pleasure.

Zulma was our guide; she was incredibly friendly and guided us well throughout the day. Cooking in a local home was a unique experience. We stayed at Mercedes's house, where she welcomed us with open arms. Cooking and eating together was a real joy.
