Such an amazing Cottage, Comfy, Cozy, with fantastic views at sunset across the Beach, while relaxing in front of the Log Burner. We stayed over Christmas and it had everything we needed to cook a full Christmas dinner with all the Trimmings. Plenty of great local pubs in stagger… er walking distance. The Beach and Railway Bridge are just a couple of great walks with so many Photos taken. My first ever Midnight mass on Christmas Eve was a beautiful service. This was our 2nd visit to Top Cottage, which has now replaced our usual place that we have used for the last few years. Looking forward to our next visit

Our tour guide Ryan aka “papi chulo” was phenomenal from start to finish. He took us for smoothies, through the rainforest, gift shops/food, all the way to the beach, and every moment was engaging, exciting, and informative. His knowledge of the area, nature, and local history was impressive, but what truly set him apart was his energy and personality. He was fun, genuinely funny, and knew exactly how to keep everyone excited and involved the entire time. The tour never felt rushed or boring—every stop came with great stories, interesting facts, and lots of laughs. You could really tell he loves what he does, and that enthusiasm made the experience even better. This was the perfect mix of adventure, learning, and fun. If you’re looking for a guide who brings the rainforest and makes the experience memorable, this is the one. Highly recommend! 🌿🌊😄

Awesome experience! Go when there's a new moon, etc. research it. Our tour had the best conditions, so thankful for it. The water was lower during the dry season so the movement on top of the water was more active, to be able to witness more of the bioluminescence effect. The fish were active, it made for more bioluminescence and towards the end coming back in it rained a little bit which made more of a show for us! Blue light sparks were hitting up from each rain drop that hit the water surface. Also, not everyone had a clear bottom kayak but we did and it was a wonderful extra to see the blue light show below us as we paddled through the water, so cool! Also, make sure you splash your paddles and run your hands through the water, wow! Highly recommend!

Bought 2 for our 2-week Costa Rica trip. They are the cheapest, and use Claro network. They worked well (only 4G) in all cities and major roads. Did not work consistently in rural areas like the national parks.
