Lesson was a great opportunity to gain confidence surfing for the first time! While I had a lot of fun, I did feel like the teacher to student ratio was a bit high and even when I did ask questions, I didn’t feel like there were enough teachers for the group.

Such a great trip! Grant (or Grant but in a kiwi accent) was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the culture and history during the long van rides. Glowworm caves were cool but the highlight for me was definitely the geysers. The whole experience was great and am so grateful that they offer a trip like this including transport since Rotorua is quite a distance away. Note: this experience did not include a Māori performance or haka. If I read the description better I wouldve known that but that is the only thing I was a little bummed about. The experience is great, but just note what is actually included if thats what you are looking for.


