I highly recommend this tour! The national park is beautiful! The forest with its trails is fascinating. The city of Ramsau is worthy of beautiful photos. And the lake? Unmissable! Those with reduced mobility will find it a bit challenging to navigate the forest.

I was surprised to enjoy this place. I also learned a lot about an essential mineral. I had a lot of fun riding down the wooden slide. You’ll need to wear a miner’s overalls which they provide. I highly suggest you wear pants under it. Fun!

We absolutely enjoyed this tour! Johannes was a marvelous guide. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and made our journey perfect. He was knowledgeable and so polite. The tour itself was lovely. From the short stop in beautiful Berchtesgaden where we ate the most glorious apple pie to the fun visit to the salt mine with the slides! Absolutely the best activity we did in Salzburg! Full points on this tour but especially for the tour guide !

As a huge Sound of Music fan, traveling to Salzburg and seeing the sites where the movie was filmed has been a bucket list item for me. The Original Sound of Music Tour did not disappoint. The credit for this exceptional experience goes to our tour guide (I believe his name was Peter). I loved his humor in his descriptions and especially in his behind the scenes stories. I will never forget his leading us in singing on the bus, especially his acting out of Do, Re, Mi. He was fantastic, and I feel very fortunate he was our guide. In a perfect world, we would have done the Sound of Music tour in the morning while the sun was out, and the Salt Mines tour in the afternoon when it was raining!


