I initially thought the signal wouldn't be great on Bohol Island due to the numerous negative reviews, but it turns out the signal is only weak in less crowded, off-the-beaten-path beaches (like the best sunset spot near Doljo, where there's no cell phone and no signal). However, the signal is very strong in Alona or more centrally located areas. Surprisingly, my friend's SIM card had a worse signal than my eSIM – that's amazing! You almost always have internet access as soon as you step outside (but only in crowded commercial areas; those wanting to enjoy nature shouldn't expect too much).

Easy setup. The internet was a bit slow at times, but not for long. It's great that you can share the internet via a hotspot. 1GB per day was enough for two phones.

I bought a SIM card for 30 days. During our trip, we visited Bali, Labuan Banjo, Kuala Lumpur, Siem Reap, and Bangkok. The SIM card worked well everywhere. Only at Angkor Wat did the signal occasionally drop out, but our guide said all SIM cards have poor reception there.
