Reviews: San Jose: Bites and Sights Walking Food Tour including Markets
Guest User2024-08-23
This was a great way to try local and seasonal fruits and ice cream while visiting the markets. Our guide Oscar was very informative and kept the pace casual. I really enjoyed the time we spent at Mr. Sloth Cafe trying and making the different foods, then the demonstration by Eric of the coffee making process.
Reviews: San Jose By Night: Farm to Table Dinner & Cocktail Class

So how did I miss COCKTAIL CLASS in that title? What a delightful “surprise” to my solo evening with the best guide and super compatible travel mates. Culture, fun and great opportunity to know San Jose and Costa Rica - fine example of Pura Vida incarnate
Reviews: Dolphin and Whale Watching Tour in Drake Bay as seen on National Geographic

Very nice crew! We learnt a lot from them about the whales. They also tried to show as a lot as possible but also with the respect to the animals. Tasty food on the boat :) highly recommended!!
Reviews: Irazu Volcano National Park, Cartago City and Orosi Valley from San Jose
Guest User2025-12-24
My wife and I had an amazing day exploring Costa Rica's Cartago province on our tour that included Irazu Volcano, the historic city of Cartago, the Orosi Valley with a delicious lunch, and the beautiful Lankester Botanical Gardens. The views at Irazu Volcano were breathtaking, my wife commented that it felt like standing on another planet. In Cartago, the Basilica de Nuestra Señora de los Angeles was very impressive. We appreciated having time in Cartago to shop for souvenirs. Lunch at the Orosi Valley was perfect with delicious Costa Rican food. We then visited the Church of San Jose de Orosi, built by Franciscans in the 1740’s, and finally, the Lankester Botanical Gardens with thousands of orchids in bloom, plus bromeliads, bamboo, and that peaceful Japanese section. A highlight for any plant lover. What made the whole day fantastic was our guide, Arlin, who was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made everything fun and informative. Highly recommend this tour for people wanting a mix of nature, culture, and great food. Easily a 5 out of 5 stars.
Reviews: San Jose: Arenal Volcano and Baldi Hot Springs Day Trip
Guest User2025-11-20
It was good, we didn't see much of the cities we stopped at and the bus ride was long, the seats didn't go back, and the driver was very jerky with the wheel so it was nearly impossible to get sleep. But, the hot spring itself was beautiful, and the meals were good, so overall, I do think it was worth it.
