Reviews: Seki, Gifu : Mitsuboshi Cutlery Kitchen Knife Factory Tour
Guest User2026-10-07
An exceptional and unforgettable experience Our visit to Mitsuboshi Cutlery in Seki was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. We were personally welcomed by Mr. Watanabe, CEO of Mitsuboshi, whose family has been making knives for five generations. He shared with us the challenges facing Japanese cutlery today and the story behind Nagomi, the new brand he created from his wife’s vision. The factory was fascinating: advanced technology alongside traditional craftsmanship, with young artisans demonstrating remarkable precision. But the highlight was seeing and even handling samurai swords from his family collection, including one over 500 years old. A deeply moving moment and a rare glimpse into a heritage that can no longer be fully reproduced today. An extraordinary welcome, a fascinating story, and a truly unforgettable experience.

Reviews: Nagoya Day Tour to Monet's Pond, Mino Old Town and Tagata Shrine
Guest User2026-08-03
Japan also has a Monet pond, and for us painters, the pond, water lilies, koi, maple trees, small bridge, and the blue sky reflected in its water are truly as beautiful as Monet's paintings. Although it's a very niche tour, the experience was excellent. Our driver, Ms. Zhang Junhong, was fantastic. She not only scheduled appropriate times for each attraction but also helped us take photos and videos, pointed us to convenience stores and restrooms, helped us translate and experience washi paper making, and accompanied us on walks through the mountains and shrines. She was very familiar with the itinerary and extremely attentive, making for a very satisfying day trip.
