Reviews: Seki: Samurai Knife Making Experience at the Knife Museum
Guest User2026-03-20
The knife making activity was awesome! Hiro-san picked us up and dropped us at the station. For five of us it took longer to make knives, but no one was rushed and they took time to teach us. In addition, to the knife making class, Hiro-san also took us to the katana sword making company and we could see some Iaido. For the lunch, we had a special request for a vegan diet for one of the participants at the sushi restaurant. All vegetable sushi was beautiful and delicious!

I love the experience of seeing one of Japan's National Treasure - the Inuyama Castle. As far as the tour service is concerned, there was a bit of hiccup in the start because our guide could not find my name on the list of guests. It was also unclear how to visually find the tour guide in the meetup point (ex. Other tours would specify finding a person with a blue flag or a crocodile plushie). Email instruction for the meetup just gave the name and number of the tour guide, which is difficult considering (1) there are many tour guides in the area, (2) not all tour guides are able to speak English even from the same company. Also, I felt that the stay in each destination is kind of rushed, 20 or 30 minutes shorter than how the tour is described in the description. Nonetheless, good experience overall.

During my recent trip to Japan, I used eSIM for internet access throughout, and the overall experience was stable and practical. After purchasing the service, I received a QR code, scanned it, and setup was completed within minutes. No physical SIM card was needed, which is incredibly time-saving for those who want to get going quickly and avoid dealing with physical cards. 📡 In Tokyo's urban areas (such as Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Asakusa) and while traveling by train, network performance was generally smooth. Everyday uses like Google Maps navigation, checking transit information, browsing social media, and uploading photos showed no noticeable delays. During peak hours in crowded areas, the speed decreased slightly, but it was still usable. 🚄 On the Shinkansen (bullet train) or while moving, there were occasional brief periods of signal instability, but the recovery was quick and didn't significantly impact the overall experience. Overall coverage was good in urban areas. ⚙️ The biggest advantage of eSIM remains its convenience. It allows you to retain your original phone number, ensuring uninterrupted SMS and call reception, which is especially useful for those who need to make calls or receive verification codes. Overall, if your needs are "stability + convenience", this eSIM is a reliable choice in Japan; however, if you have extremely high requirements for network speed, it is recommended not to assume that it will be as stable as Taiwan's 5G.
