Bangkok Naval Shooting Range | October 2, 2026 Today, I visited the Bangkok Naval Shooting Range to experience the unique thrill of live-fire shooting. Located in the Bang Na district, it's easily accessible by BTS Skytrain. Entry requires passport registration and the distribution of earmuffs and goggles for safety. The range offers a variety of firearms to choose from, with one-on-one instruction from professional instructors who explain holding, aiming, and safety rules, ensuring even beginners can try with confidence. The sound of gunfire and each trigger pull delivers a powerful impact, allowing you to focus intently on the bullseye and experience a unique thrill. After shooting, you can keep the target paper as a souvenir, and the instructors will assist with taking photos. The entire process was orderly and safety was well-managed. This experience was full of surprises and will be an unforgettable part of my Bangkok trip.

Of all the places we booked online, this was the most worthwhile. There was no pressure to buy anything or push sales, and they weren't grumpy even if you didn't buy anything. Overall, it was a very comfortable experience. A bag of bananas cost 100 NTD to feed the elephants, which was more expensive than elsewhere, but it was a worthwhile experience. A large photo with three angles cost 400 NTD, and the photos were very good – much cheaper than at many tourist attractions. We bought some; you can assess whether you need them.

It's very close to the Grand Palace, so you can easily stop by after visiting the surrounding area. It wasn't too crowded; even arriving around noon meant no queues. You can buy your tickets online and use them immediately without prior reservation. Very convenient. There are instructors to guide you through the shooting; the service is quite good. The pistols have significant recoil.

The location is a bit out of the way. Taking a taxi is possible, but I'd recommend driving yourself as it's more convenient. However, since it's shooting, the event ends very quickly, so taking a taxi would be a waste. They offer to film you inside, but it costs 300 baht. There's also a photo opportunity area with a five-minute free time limit, where you can pick up different rifles to film.

I handled a real gun here for the first time, a truly unforgettable experience. The instructor spoke some Chinese and was patient, enthusiastic, and humorous throughout, even making time for photos. The only confusing thing was that the reservation showed they opened at 10:00 AM, but when I arrived I was told it was 10:30 AM, and I waited for over half an hour.
