Reviews: Bucharest: Salt Mine Day Trip to Slănic

Enjoyed the trip worth doing it if in Bucharest, Lucian was very good gave a lot of information about his country throughout the drive and was easy going, we had a group of 8 so it was a small group, you will not need a full 2h at the salt mine as there isn’t actually much to do there but its worth seeing. Thank you

The driver was very good and careful despite the snowy road. Our guide, Andreea, was professional, helpful, and kind. The mine is evocative and the monastery very beautiful. We returned on time despite the adverse weather.

The salt mines aren't anything special, and if, like us, you've already been to the ones in Krakow, they're disappointing. But Andreea is an exceptional guide, and Dracula's tomb is worth a visit. The transportation and bathroom/lunch breaks were well-organized. No negatives.

Andreea was fantastic! Very sweet, helpful, and very kind. She gave us all the necessary information about the places we visited. She also gave us information about Bucharest in general. The places are fantastic: the mine is very evocative and almost feels like being on another planet. Dracula's tomb is very simple; don't expect anything different. It's located in a monastery on an island, full of trees.

My guide was Otilia. Time planning was great, we had sufficient time at all destinations and attractions on the journey. Otilia was a knowledgeable and passionate guide who really shared a lot of stories about Romanian history which I found very interesting myself. However, we were unable to enter Peles Castle unless we paid extra, close to 30 euros, which is too much.
