I really enjoyed it – beautiful scenery, a lovely guide, and good equipment. I only deducted one star for value for money because you could theoretically do the tour on your own. However, it was a wonderful experience, and if you're traveling alone, it's also nice to hike in a group.

The Romanian family who toured together, and the tour guide Boris, were all friendly. I was surprised to see such a beautiful scenery in Finland, and I was surprised that there are barbecues everywhere and it is also free. Maybe it's because I lived almost my whole life without eyes, but every moment I saw it was a big happiness for me. It was cold and almost died in the crazy weather of minus 22 degrees Celsius, but it seems that it moved less cold because it used all the means of transportation for a long distance. Blueberry tea and local sandwiches (don't expect) are also very delicious! I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that it's a tour that I love Finland.

Our tour started at the town hall, where we were given overalls that kept us very warm the whole time. The drive to the mine took a while, but we made a stop along the way where we could use the restroom. The rest of the ride on the snow train was great, as was the short explanation about the mine. Then we were able to search for amethysts ourselves. The excursion was absolutely fantastic, as was the breathtaking scenery. It's something you should definitely do. Afterwards, our very friendly guide drove us back. I highly recommend it.


