Overall, it was a good experience, but the late-night flight was a bit strenuous for the children. Since there were fewer than 15 people in our group, there was no guide. Our local guide, Charlie, was very nice and handled things very well. Bali really is a tipping country; you have to tip for everything. The most infuriating thing was that the customs officers at Bali's exit directly asked for a tip of $20 per person! We pretended not to notice, and probably because there were many of us, they didn't insist, but their attitude was still very rude. Bali's airport wasn't as bad as I'd heard; there were toilets, but the air conditioning stopped right at the boarding gate. The efficiency there was terrible; seat numbers and boarding gates had to be handwritten, so it was very slow. Boarding required everyone to be present before boarding. This time, we waited at the gate for four Japanese people, which made us hot, tired, and delayed. Disgusting! The group meals were pretty good, especially the lunch on the last day. I don't know if it was because our free time on the fifth day was so great that the guide added extra dishes, haha. Overall, it was a good trip. The hotel's lack of Wi-Fi was a headache, and the breakfast selection wasn't very good either.About
