🌳 3 Must-Do Things at Amanohashidate
1️⃣ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
→ Take the cable car to the top (round trip ¥720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
→ Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2️⃣ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
→ Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
→ Rent a bicycle (¥500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.
3️⃣ Visit "Chieunji Temple" for amulets
→ Vermilion torii gates paired with century-old pine trees; seek amulets for academic success/marriage (from ¥800).
→ Touch the "Manjushri Wisdom Wheel" and spin it three times; legend says it will make you smarter!★

We joined a one-day tour from Kyoto, departing from Kyoto Station at 9:40 AM and returning around 6 PM. The day was incredibly fulfilling. The waters of Amanohashidate were crystal clear, and the Ine Boathouse was ancient and unique. Our tour guide, Cui Haihua, spoke both Chinese and Korean, and provided detailed explanations. The itinerary was well-organized, and the guides made the trip relaxing and enjoyable. Highlights: The cable car and boat ride are a must-try; it's a worthwhile experience.★

We went on 30th jan, and it was heavily snowing so the view is very pretty and nice. End January-early feb seems to be a nice date if you want to go to amanohashidate for snows however we could not ride the train cause of the heavy snowing. Make sure to be on time for departure because the schedule is real tight and they want to be on time. Overall the trip is really nice★

I booked this trip for my brother and sister-in-law. They were so happy when they came back! Although I was very proud and thought I made the right choice, I didn't really know how good the tour guide was. My brother and sister-in-law kept asking me to give the tour guide a good review for the next three days 😂 Anyway, I believe they had a very enjoyable time. I am very grateful to the tour guide for taking care of my family and making them have a pleasant experience in Japan. The tour guide was Fu Shuo. This route is beautiful, but the only downside is that it's quite far. It takes about three hours from Osaka and two hours from Kyoto, so a day trip would definitely be a quick tour. Joining a tour group is more convenient, and the ability to get off in both Kyoto and Osaka is a great bonus! I was very satisfied with our guide, Hu Jun. His explanations of the attractions were clear and thorough. He sent us the locations of each attraction the day before and on the day of the tour. He even used WeChat Line to distinguish between groups from different regions. His service was attentive and highly praised!★

It was so much fun and the views were amazing! Going on a one-day tour like this was so convenient – no need to drive yourself, and there was a guide. Each location had plenty of time to relax, and there were stops along the way for rest breaks. The scenery was incredibly beautiful on a clear day. Cool weather and stunning views – pure bliss!
