I booked a VIP tour this time, and the itinerary was very packed, with five or six boat trips in total, making it a fairly in-depth tour. The Mekong River didn't look very clear; the water was quite yellow and covered with water hyacinths, but there was no unpleasant odor. The island had many plants (various fruits) and animals (pythons, crocodiles, catfish, etc.), and the guide led the tour, providing very enthusiastic explanations. At the narrow section of the river where boats were manually rowed, the guide mentioned that a tip was expected for the rowers. Before the tour ended, the guide suggested that if we were satisfied with the trip, we could also tip him; I felt I had to give him something, otherwise I'd feel awkward.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport is rife with bad rumors. It's a hassle to use it every time I return home. So, I always use the familiar fast track, which is safe for LINE users. While some operators may use English, it's no problem. If you find a company representative upon arrival, all you have to do is follow their instructions. Depending on the time of day, you can get through what would normally take an hour in about 30 minutes. A few tips: go to the restroom beforehand and make sure your phone is fully charged. The restroom is always crowded, so it's just a matter of luck.
