Cristian was an excellent tour guide and went above and beyond to make my trip to Tǎrgu Mureş as insightful and interesting as possible. The tour was tailored specifically to what I wanted to see, taking in the historic synagogue, the Romanian Orthodox Cathedral and the Cultural Palace. Cristian even stepped in to pay for some souvenirs when I had run out of lei (paid back with a coffee!). All in all, a fantastic tour which I’d highly recommend. Thanks Cristian!

Today's trip to Romania was truly unforgettable! From the wondrous underground world of the Salina Turda salt mines to the breathtaking natural scenery of the Turda Gorge, and the tranquility and cultural richness of the Rimetea countryside, every stop was full of surprises. Although the weather was overcast, it didn't detract from the experience at all; instead, it made the canyons and mountains seem even more mysterious. A special thank you to our thoughtful guide, who not only made excellent arrangements but also provided us with a wealth of historical and cultural insights, making this trip not just a scenic journey but also a deep exploration of Romania's natural and cultural landscape. Highly recommended!

This excursion was, quite possibly, the best I've ever had. The day included a tour of the Turda salt mine, an engineering feat turned into a work of art, Corvin Castle, the most spectacular castle I've ever seen and a key sight I wanted to see on my trip to Romania, and the Alba fortress, which was absolutely lovely. But it wasn't just that the designated sights were amazing, though they were, but more the synergy between the guide and the other group members. We laughed and joked like old friends, though we'd never met before. Our guide was just a good friend who wanted to share the day showing others the beautiful sights of his country. At day's end, many members of the group had become so close that they continued spending time with one another well into the evening. Simply put, I highly recommend this tour by Rolandia.

I took the tour with Tiberiu and it’s an amazing day! There are 2 ppl including me so Tiberiu was super flexible with adjusting the time spent on each spots. He was very informative, helpful and passionate about what he is doing. Our first stop is Sighișoara, our guide explained the detailed history and walked us through an important parts of town together then let us be on our own to explore what we’re interested for 1.5 hours. Then we moved to Viscri, the fortified church is truly worth a visit, the scenery from up there is breathtaking and the town itself is lovely to walk around. Tiberiu also gave us time to visit the house of King Charles which is a bonus for us! If you have enough time please don’t hesitate to include this to your day trip. Then lastly we went to Rupea fortress to finish our day with great views from hilltop. I totally recommend this tour as a must in your visit to Romania and would love to join another tour with Active Travel again on my next time in Romania.
