So much fun. We enjoyed the experience very much. Learnt a lot about the area and the actual railway system. The staff were fantastic.

The whole experience. The fabulous Guides and the information provided, the actual ride along the historic railway track, the service, coffee, tea, lunch, snacks, blankets etc. but especially the beautiful high country scenery of remote King Country, NZ
Reviews: Tongariro Crossing: Ketetahi Park & Ride Trailhead Shuttle

The shuttle was very well organized, especially considering that there had been a fire in the national park a few days prior, and it only reopened on the day of our booked transfer. We were kept well-informed and regularly updated by the operator about the current situation and available options. Ultimately, the early transfer allowed us to participate in the opening ceremony. It was an unforgettable and special experience, particularly starting the trail accompanied by Maori singing. And hopefully, it will remain a unique experience.

It would be helpful to mention that the car park isn't near the finish line... and that there's still a 1.5km walk, which can be significant after a challenging 21km hike! ;)
Reviews: Tongariro Alpine Half Day Guided Group Walk

The activity which I actually booked had to be cancelled because of a large bushfire in the vicinity. The company offered everyone either a full refund or a substitute activity - which I think most people accepted. The staff and guides made sure that everyone was kitted out appropriately and provided any additional items they thought we would need. The guides were excellent - kept everyone safe, were extremely capable, supportive and encouraging, helpful and interesting.
