We had a great time and saw a lot of wildlife (mostly Caiman and birds). Bernardo, our tour guide was knowledgeable, funny and very friendly!

Don't expect to see 15 caimans or 20 iguanas, but if you take the time with your guide, you'll be amazed to see these animals in their natural habitat.

We went out kayaking with Héctor and had an excellent time! He was very kind and patient and shared a lot of information about the environment and history of Tortuguero. He even took some pictures and videos for us! We saw many animals on this tour, including toucans, baby caimans, a baby crocodile, jacanas, anhingas, and bats sleeping under a log! It was very exciting to kayak through the narrow parts of the lagoon where only kayaks could fit. We liked this tour so much we booked more the next day! Thank you Héctor and Tortuguero Adventures!

The tour was great! Our guide Gabriel, in particular, had a good eye for finding all the hidden animals, both big and small!


