This ticket covers a wide area, from Himeji, Kobe, Nara, Wakayama, Osaka Umeda to Kyoto, allowing you to explore the entire Kansai region with just one ticket – extremely convenient. Except for JR lines, it can be used on all other private railways, making it more flexible for travel planning. You can take the Hanshin Railway to Kobe and Tarumi Outlet for shopping sprees, or take the Osaka Metro directly to the Hankyu Railway to Kyoto's Kawaramachi area. The Keihan Railway can take you to Kadoma Outlet and Hirakata Park, and you can even take the Osaka Monorail to Expo Memorial Park for Lalaport – truly a worthwhile investment. However, starting this year, the ticket usage has changed from a physical ticket to a QR code e-ticket on your mobile phone. Once activated, the ticket must be used consecutively, unlike the previous physical ticket which allowed for split-day use. This is somewhat limiting, and you must ensure your phone has sufficient battery power before traveling, otherwise, it won't work. Overall, if you need to travel to attractions/locations that are relatively far away, purchasing this ticket is definitely the first choice, and it's easy to get your money's worth. I would recommend it to friends and family who come to Kansai for tourism.★

The castle in Wakayama is very informative. It was crowded in Naha, the deers were not shy. They are mostly friendly and willing for food! They are only behind the people for feeding them.★

The Kansai Wide Area Railway Pass was very convenient. I went to Takayama and Toyama, and explored Kamikochi and Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. It was a very enjoyable trip.★

The best deal on this 7-day Kansai & Sanyo trip was this JR Kansai & Hiroshima Amazing Pass (5 days)!
The original price was ¥36,350, but the pass was only ¥17,000 – a saving of over half! The best part is that it also comes with a Trip.com discount and a free Hiroshima Enjoyment Pass, making it an incredible bargain!
The itinerary focused on one National Treasure/attraction per day (Kyoto Seiryo-ji and Tenryu-ji Temples → Himeji Castle and Engyo-ji Temples → Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Museum → Miyajima Michishio Itsukushima Shrine → Okayama Korakuen Garden), and with this pass, you could easily travel by Shinkansen and still experience the culture in depth – highly recommended!★

Redeeming tickets is smooth and simple; you can exchange them for physical tickets at the airport's automatic ticket machines! You can reserve two reserved seats on the Haruka Limited Express, making round trips between the airport and Kyoto/Osaka extremely convenient. While limited to Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, and Nara, a 5-day wide-area tour is recommended for those wanting to travel further afield.★

I booked the day before departure, around 6 PM, but customer service confirmed quickly and created a service group chat that evening. The driver, Mr. Zhang, was waiting downstairs at the hotel ten minutes before the scheduled time the next day. The entire itinerary was well-planned, with flexible time allocation, and the driver even provided information along the way, making it very convenient and effortless.
