Laura was a sweetheart and very knowledgeable about the history of South Korea. It was a pleasure learning from her! The drive to Mount Seorak and back to Seoul was a bit long - so I would recommend bringing something for the ride to keep you occupied.

Ice fishing is no easy feat, especially in the dead of winter. The cold wind was so biting that your hands almost froze. The fishing gear looked like children's toys, not real fishing rods. Our group of four fished for a long time without catching anything, so the tour guide gave us two people per fish. I recommend grilling it; sashimi isn't as tasty. Unfortunately, our fish was burnt, which was a bit disappointing. The ice activities were fun, and everyone had a great time! This trip is best experienced once; I personally wouldn't consider doing it again!
