Due to time constraints, we were unable to book a Chinese tour guide, so we opted for an English tour guide, which resulted in a truly memorable trip. He patiently explained the features and precautions along the way and the landscape, helped us take photos, and arranged the itinerary in a leisurely manner. He even added a special stop for us, the dam scene from "Attack on Titan" 🎬

It was a fantastic day trip with a well-planned itinerary, and we had a great time at all the places we visited. Our guide, Ms. Kim, was very skilled and provided excellent explanations. She was also very approachable and reserved, unlike some other guides who tend to be more assertive. The natural scenery of Kyushu is absolutely stunning, even surpassing that of Kyoto. The Kyushu Zoo was perfect for a hot summer day, as you can enjoy the entire visit from an air-conditioned vehicle. Yufuin Town and Lake Kinryu were places I'd always wanted to visit, and this trip finally fulfilled my wish.

Director Jiang was very enthusiastic, speaking fluent English and Mandarin. He seemed like a warm-hearted person from Northeast China. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any of the restaurants he recommended. Yufuin in Oita Prefecture is a unique region with geothermal activity everywhere, making it unforgettable, especially the last stop, Nyoi-rin Temple, where there were adorable frog princes everywhere, and vibrant autumn leaves. The streets around Yufuin are worth exploring. The yuzu soy sauce at the Kamado Jigoku Onsen Park was delicious; I bought a bottle and found it selling for 120 RMB on Taobao. I bought it for 820 yen, about 37 RMB – the Taobao price is outrageous!

I traveled with my daughter, and this hotel was perfect—quiet, safe (with a private beach), and surrounded by a beautiful, tranquil pool. We relaxed by the pool and beach every day, making it ideal for family vacations. Ctrip offers many day trip packages, but I opted for a day tour to see the volcano and rice terraces and experience the local culture, allowing for more flexibility in planning. Using Ctrip was convenient and efficient. However, finding the airport pickup was a little tricky.


