I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.

It's very easy to use, no need to change SIM cards, which is hassle-free. The price is better than roaming too. We bought a 5G per day plan and we still had more than enough. We didn't run out in a full day. Typically, we use it for Line, sending photos, using Google Maps, and posting Instagram stories occasionally. We don't watch TikTok or YouTube. Even in rural areas, there's internet access.


