Things to do in Fenyi

Since we're already here—Xinyu doesn't have many other attractions, this is the most famous and most visited spot. Aside from the three boat trips, the walking and hiking time within the scenic area is only about an hour. The scenery of the islands and lakes is decent, but the ticket price is significantly higher compared to other scenic spots in Jiangxi.

Experience the Fairy Lake Qixi Cultural Tourism Resort Romance greets you upon entering the Fairy Lake Qixi Cultural Tourism Resort. Famous for the legend of the "Sweater Girl Descending to Earth," it's a core area of Qixi culture. Ninety-nine islands dot the landscapes of lakes and mountains, and a boat tour offers a poetic and leisurely journey into a fairyland. The resort incorporates romantic elements throughout, with romantic attractions like the Fairy Heart Ferris Wheel, the fluorescent cycling greenway, and the 520 floating tent campsite, attracting many couples. The Qixi Old Street is even more quaint, with its ornate, illuminated eaves and horse-head walls, evoking the love story of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. Additionally, enjoy a variety of activities, such as staying in a fairytale cabin at the Tree Frog Tribe and immersing yourself in the artistic charm of the Jiangkou Power Plant Art and Creative Zone. As for dining, the Jiangxi and Hunan cuisine, featuring fish products, will delight every palate. Overall, Fairy Lake Qixi Cultural Tourism Resort is a great place for couples to relax and families to vacation, allowing people to experience the unique charm of Qixi culture in the beautiful scenery and romantic atmosphere.

Very good, worth playing

If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out. Compared to Longgong Cave, it's a bit smaller. It took about an hour to explore, and the entrance was quite impressive. The small bridge over Shenniu Cave is quite cute. I read the reviews last time saying to bring clothes, but that's completely unnecessary. The cave isn't cold in the summer, though it can be a bit stuffy in some places.

The town is not big and can be visited in about an hour on foot. There are many places to take photos, and it is better to wear Hanfu to take photos. There are performances and lights at night, which will be more beautiful. The consumption in the scenic area is good, and the prices are basically normal, which is within an understandable range.

I visited Mingyue Mountain after hearing so much about it, and the overall experience was fantastic! The mountains and forests are lush and verdant, with beautiful scenery at every turn. The Qingyun Plank Road offers expansive views, allowing you to gaze at the rolling mountains and take great photos. The mountain temperature is pleasant, making it a perfect escape from the summer heat. The park's signage is clear, the service is excellent, and the itinerary is well-planned. After exploring Mingyue Mountain, a soak in the selenium-rich hot springs completes the experience, offering both health and relaxation. This route in Yichun is ideal for a short getaway.

Orange Island is a bit of a mixed experience, and I'm honestly not entirely sure whether I'd consider it a must-visit in Changsha. It's a large, green, and pleasant park, with beautiful riverside views and plenty of space for walking. If you enjoy places with historical significance or simply want to experience a different side of the city, it's definitely worth considering. Most visitors seem to take the sightseeing train to the southern end of the island, where the famous Mao Zedong statue is located. That's also where you'll find plenty of people taking photos, so don't expect a particularly quiet experience. The main downside is that visiting the island takes quite a bit of time, especially if you want to explore it properly. And while it's certainly a nice place, I'm not sure the experience justifies spending several hours here if you have a limited amount of time in Changsha and other places you'd like to see.On the other hand, if you're simply looking for a relaxing walk through a green park, with opportunities to stop by the river and enjoy the scenery, it's a lovely option.Overall, I'd say it's worth visiting if you have some extra time or are particularly interested in Chinese history. Otherwise, I wouldn't necessarily put it at the very top of your Changsha itinerary.

The experience of visiting Wugong Mountain was quite good. The hiking route was of moderate difficulty and not strenuous. The view from the summit was expansive, overlooking vast meadows. The breeze was pleasant and refreshing. There were also ample supply points along the way, so I didn't need to bring too much with me. It was a very relaxing trip.

Wugong Mountain truly lives up to its reputation! Ten thousand acres of alpine meadows stretch along the mountain ridge, offering expansive and soothing views. Reaching the Golden Summit, you might encounter a sea of clouds drifting across the mountainside, and the sunrise is breathtakingly atmospheric. While the Hero's Slope and Despair Slope are physically demanding, standing atop the peak overlooking the continuous mountain range instantly dispels all fatigue. The trails are well-maintained, and the cable car is less strenuous, making it suitable for hiking enthusiasts—a truly worthwhile mountain destination!
