Shirahama Beachis located in Horikome, Same-machi, Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. It is a sizable seaside leisure venue in Hachinohe and a beach in Aomori Prefecture selected as one of the "100 Best Swimming Beaches" by the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, with water quality and a natural environment that have long been recognized by the public. The beach stretches approx. 400 m and is a rare "singing sand" beach where footsteps on the sand produce a crisp sound. The light white fine sand is soft to the touch, and the overall slope of the sea area is gentle with shallow water, making it suitable for children to play in the water and for beach walks, with safety features suitable for family outings. The entire coast is surrounded by lush greenery, where green pine trees paired with white sand create a fresh landscape. It is also selected as one of the "100 Best White Sand and Green Pine Beaches," where the blue sky and clear sea contrast with the coastal trees, often attracting film and television crews for location shooting. Compliant outdoor barbecues are permitted on the beach, and the gentle coastal path is perfect for walking and collecting seashells. Many visitors enjoy leisure activities here, such as beach volleyball and sunbathing.Hachinohe · 8.7 km from downtown

There were a lot of birds at the shrine and it was quite noisy. So I found a place near the sea and watched their movements quietly. It was a different experience!

This summer, I went to Shirahama with my family! It was a small town, but the sea was beautiful and the hot springs were as good as rumored!
