Kings Park and Botanic Garden

Kings Park and Botanic Garden is situated on Mount Eliza, west of Perth city center, and is adjacent to the University of Western Australia. The approx. 400-hectare park integrates open lawns, the Western Australian Botanic Garden, and vast areas of native bushland, making it one of the few large urban parks in the Southern Hemisphere. The park is elevated, with multiple viewing platforms facing the Perth skyline and the Swan River, making it a perfect spot for panoramic city views and sunset watching, and thus a popular destination for locals to take daily walks and relax. Plants are the stars here. The Western Australian Botanic Garden within the park features a collection of over 3,000 native Western Australian plant species. Among them, the kangaroo paw, the floral emblem of Western Australia, has flower spikes that resemble a kangaroo's front paw, and its red and green coloring makes it easy to spot among the flowers. A treetop walk suspended above the eucalyptus forest allows visitors to stroll at canopy height and overlook the Swan River from above. Every September, when spring is in full bloom in the Southern Hemisphere, the park hosts a decades-old traditional event. Native wildflowers like kangaroo paws and everlastings bloom in vast fields, making it a representative spring wildflower event in Australia. The park also carries deep cultural memories. Before the arrival of Europeans, this hill was an important site for the Noongar Aboriginal people to hold celebrations and gatherings. The park now features an art gallery where you can appreciate local indigenous art. The State War Memorial, located on high ground in the park, commemorates Western Australian soldiers who died in various wars. The Eternal Flame in the plaza burns year-round, and the path leading to the memorial is lined with memorial trees, with plaques honoring the fallen soldiers embedded beneath them. The dawn service for Anzac Day is also held here every year.Kings Park · 24.1 km from Herne Hill

As early as 1697, when the Dutch navigator Willem de Vlamingh arrived here, he was attracted by the unique and beautiful black swans along the river, and then named the river Swan River (Swan River). Since then, the black swan has been inextricably linked with Perth, and the black swan has become a high-status animal in Perth and even the whole of Western Australia. The area of Barrack Street (Barrack) in the central area of Perth is a sightseeing spot on the Swan River. There are many cafes, bars and restaurants here. The elegant white arc of the Elizabeth Quay Bridge spans the banks of the Swan River, and most of the city's landmarks and sculptures love to cluster here—when you think of Perth, you think of Elizabeth Quay! The riverside is cool and breezy in the morning light. Perth locals love to come here to cycle, take a walk, or stroll through the park to welcome a vibrant day. Once illuminated by neon lights at night, the quay takes on a stunning urban landscape. Elizabeth Quay is not only beautiful, but it is also a very important transportation hub. London Street is an old commercial street. Many of the buildings here have obvious British characteristics, just like being on the streets of London. The whole street is the most lively place in Perth, with cafes and small boutiques everywhere, which is worth a visit.
