The autumn scenery was breathtaking, making the trip truly worthwhile! The rice paddies stretched as far as the eye could see, and the passion fruit orchards along the way were laden with fruit! It was indeed a bountiful harvest season! Passion fruit was 10 yuan for 5 jin (2.5 catties) along the way—sweet, delicious, and fragrant! The price at the scenic area wasn't that high! A day was more than enough to walk from the ancient Zhuang village to Jinzhai!

In the morning, I embarked on a journey to Longji Terraces with anticipation. Along the way, the scenery outside the car window gradually changed from the hustle and bustle of the city to the tranquility of the countryside, and my mood became relaxed. When we arrived at Longji Terraces, the sun was shining. Standing at the foot of the mountain, looking up, the terraces are stacked layer by layer, like waves of the earth, extending from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, which is magnificent. The sun shines on the terraces, sparkling, as if covering the earth with a layer of golden gauze. Climbing up the mountain road, you can feel the magic of nature with every step. The lines of the terraces are beautiful and smooth, like a scroll carefully drawn by nature. On the ridges, you can occasionally see hardworking farmers working, who are integrated with the terraces, forming a vivid pastoral landscape. Climbing to the top of the mountain, overlooking the entire terrace, the view is suddenly clear. The mountains in the distance are undulating, surrounded by clouds and mist, and the terraces are looming in the clouds and mist, like a fairyland. The breeze blew, and the rice ears swayed gently, making a rustling sound, as if telling an ancient legend. The beauty of Longji Terraces lies not only in its magnificence, but also in the farming wisdom and cultural heritage it contains. This trip made me deeply feel the magic of nature and the wisdom of mankind, which made me unforgettable for a long time.

Aside from October, after the harvest, and the first few months of spring, which are not recommended, other time periods offer their own unique beauty. However, be aware that the summer sun can be quite hot, requiring a high level of physical stamina. In early spring, before planting rice, you can enjoy the paddy fields. In early summer, the fragrant rice flowers fill the air. In summer, the vast greenery of the fields and in autumn, the golden expanse of the mountains are all worthwhile.

Pengzuping Nature Reserve is located in Longjia Village, Madi Township, Longsheng County. It is a primeval forest that has not been damaged by human activities. Pengzuping is surrounded by rolling mountains, steep valleys, vast forests and beautiful scenery. The annual average temperature is 18.5℃. There are rich species in the forest area, including the national first-level protected southern yew, the national second-level protected white yew, the South China five-needle pine group, the long-bracted hemlock, the comb-shaped cedar, the red-flowered magnolia, the white-flowered magnolia, the Fujian cypress, etc. There are also many other common tree species. There are also many wild animals in the forest area. The national second-level protected animals include the red-bellied tragopan, the red-bellied pheasant, the water civet, and the forest musk deer; common animals include civets, leopard cats, mountain monkeys, wild boars, and snakes. The waterfalls and pine and cypress in Pengzuping are the biggest highlights, and the environment is even more beautiful and quiet. It is not an exaggeration to call it a paradise on earth.

Longji Ancient Zhuang Village is located in the southwest foot of Yuechengling Mountain Range in northern Guangxi, in the northeast of Heping Township, Longsheng Autonomous County, 10 kilometers away from the Heping Township government, 21 kilometers away from Longsheng County, and about 76 kilometers away from Guilin City. The ancient Zhuang village includes four Zhuang villages: Liaojiazhai, Houjiazhai, Pingduan and Hepingzhai.
