Machhapuchhare, at an altitude of 6,997m, is one of the most prominent peaks in the Annapurna Massif and a major landmark of Pokhara. The shape of Machhapuchhare resembles a fresh fish with its head buried in the ground, struggling to flick its tail and jump out, hence its name. Machhapuchhare is also a peak where climbing is prohibited.Machhapuchchhre · 19.3 km from Manang

Annapurna is the main peak of the Annapurna Mountains, the tenth highest peak in the world and a tourist destination for mountaineering in Nepal. Annapurna has a complex geographical environment and is difficult to climb. After the first successful ascent by French mountaineers in 1950, there was a record of no one reaching the top for 20 years. The remote geographical location, the changeable regional climate, and the complex and unpredictable conditions along the route have attracted many climbers to come and challenge. It was the first 8000-meter peak to be summited.Narchyang · 20.7 km from Manang
Muktinath Temple

Muktinath Temple

3.5
Muktinath Temple, Nepal is located at the southern foothills of the Himalayas in the Mustang region of Nepal, at an altitude of approx. 3,800 m. It is one of the most important religious sites in Nepal and one of the highest temples in the world. Situated within the Annapurna Conservation Area, it is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, offering distant views of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. The magnificent alpine view blends with a profound religious atmosphere. For both Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist devotees, it is an important pilgrimage destination, often hailed as a "sacred site revered by two major religions." Hindus consider this an important sacred site for Lord Vishnu, and devotees believe that a pilgrimage here can cleanse sins and grant liberation. A representative view within the temple is the 108 bull-headed water spouts, where pilgrims bathe under the icy holy water in sequence to complete the purification ritual. In addition, the temple houses an idol of Lord Vishnu and features an eternal flame. The natural gas flame, together with the spring water and rocks, forms a natural wonder where "fire, water, and earth" coexist, which also holds significant religious meaning in Buddhism.Muktinath · 21.9 km from Manang

Phewa Lake is the second largest lake in Nepal. When the weather is clear and the lake is calm, snow-capped peaks are clearly reflected in the water. In the windless early morning, the lake surface is like a mirror, which is an iconic view of Pokhara. There is also a Tal Barahi Temple on a small island in the center of the lake, which can only be reached by boat, with wooden boats carrying pilgrims and tourists constantly coming and going. The Lakeside area on the north shore is a popular tourist hub in Pokhara, where hotels, restaurants, cafes, and small shops line the streets, creating a lively and relaxed atmosphere. The southwest shore is covered by dense forests, with few visitors, retaining an original and tranquil atmosphere.Pokhara · 50.7 km from Manang

Pokhara is located in a river valley in central Nepal, at the southern foothills of the Himalayas, approximately 200 km west of the capital, Kathmandu, and is a lakeside city nestled between mountains and water, often referred to as the tourism capital of Nepal. Located in a subtropical region, it enjoys a warm and humid climate with lush greenery all year round, and the sight of snow-capped mountains and lakes in the same frame is particularly captivating. Because the surrounding snow-capped mountains are not difficult to climb and have excellent service facilities along the routes, they have long been the starting or ending points for many famous trekking routes, and are recognized by travelers from all over the world as a trekking paradise.Pokhara · 50.9 km from Manang

Kathmandu Durbar Square was once the site where the city-state's kings were crowned, and today, this square is a magnificent World Heritage Site in Kathmandu. The square is formed by the open Basantapur Square to the south, the main temple area to the west, and the old palace area to the northeast. Newari-style buildings with red brick foundations and dark wood-carved eaves are distributed throughout, with dozens of temples and shrines of various sizes featuring intricate carvings, making it a place worth slowing down to admire. Many visitors climb the steps to look down at the hustle and bustle of the square. During the Indra Jatra festival every fall, the square hosts a grand chariot procession, which is a great opportunity to experience the traditional festive atmosphere of Nepal.Nepal · Kathmandu

Probably one of my favorite place for trekking Physically this trek is not so hard (ok, sometimes, because of the altitude, you gonna suffering a little bit ;) ), and must of the time you can choose between a trekking way (more interesting) and a dusty road (more easy). For the total circuit, you need more or less 20 days (including 2 days of rest), but you can also use jeep service (shared with other trekker to be cheaper) to reduce the trek to 6 days.

I recommend you leave the high camp before 4am to see the sunrise! It was very difficult because the altitude was high, so we went slowly, but the cocoa we drank on the mountain and the scenery melted our hearts.

Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in the heart of Nepal’s capital, is is also home to numerous temples dedicated to Hindu deities, such as the towering Taleju Temple, accessible only to royalty during its prime, and the Kasthamandap, a three-story wooden pavilion believed to have been built from a single tree, which gave Kathmandu its name. The Kumari Ghar, a lavishly carved wooden mansion, houses the Kumari, a young girl revered as the living embodiment of the Hindu goddess Durga. This blend of sacred and regal structures creates a spiritual ambiance, especially during festivals like Indra Jatra and Dashain, when the square comes alive with processions, dances, and rituals.
