Plaza Mayor, Medellín
The Plaza Mayor, Medellín in downtown Medellin is beautiful, not far from the Convention Center. This modernist complex echoes local traditions with its Antioquia red brick exterior, and its wavy roof and geometric hollow structure form a light and shadow theater. As an important conference center in South America, its five exhibition halls are cleverly integrated into the urban texture, and the central open-air square often hosts international book fairs and flower festival parades. The "Urban Balcony" observation deck designed by architect Laurentino Gutiérrez overlooks the Abra Valley, and the glass curtain wall reflects the clouds of the Andes Mountains. The Plaza Mayor in Medellin is the largest municipal square here, and the city government of Medellin is also located in this square. is an amazing place with an incredible view.you can find very reasonable tours to go there and visit. check before you go if the entry to the monolith is open. All the restaurants in the little town are very typical and not very expensive. take the tour with the boat an enjoy the day!
