National Museum of Anthropology

The National Museum of Anthropology opened in September 1964 and holds a significant position in the history of anthropology. It showcases the indigenous civilizations of Mexico, including the Aztec and Maya civilizations. The museum has two floors. The ground level houses 12 exhibition halls showcasing archaeological artifacts from the pre-Hispanic era, presenting the features of ancient American civilizations. The collection includes treasures such as painted human-figure pots, painted ceramic pots, jaguar urns, corn deity incense burners, smiling face figurines, human-face-patterned incense burners, and rain god effigy urns. The Mexica hall displays the iconic 24-ton Sun Stone, a symbolic artifact witnessing the glory of Aztec civilization. The second-floor exhibition area roughly corresponds to the layout of the first floor, focusing on ethnography. It displays the traditional cultures of Mexico's indigenous groups through clothing, musical instruments, weapons, religious artifacts, and daily objects, introducing their cultures, arts, beliefs, and customs. The museum building itself is a classic example of modern Mexican architecture, with its central hall's giant umbrella-shaped stone fountain being a signature view frequently featured on Mexico City postcards. The museum also features introductions to general anthropology, prehistoric times, and early American migration.Mexico · Mexico City

Chichen Itza is an ancient Mayan city ruin located on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Founded in the 5th century AD (around 514 AD), it was the political, religious, and astronomical center of the Mayan civilization at its peak. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Centered around the Pyramid of Kukulkan, the site blends Mayan and Toltec cultures, and contains hundreds of stone structures, including a temple of warriors, a large ball court, and an observatory, showcasing the Mayan people's remarkable architectural and astronomical achievements.

This park is absolutely fantastic! It's definitely one of the best places to visit in the Americas. If you're a fast-paced young person, you can just buy an afternoon ticket, plus a shuttle bus from your hotel. Enter the park at 4 PM, walk the black line, then the white line, then the red line, then the green line, and finally the blue line back to the black line, arriving just in time for the show at 7 PM. The show is two hours long, covering everything from Mayan culture to modern Mexican dance and song – well worth seeing. The cutest animals in the park are the flamingos, tapirs, and red parrots – they're even bigger and cuter than I expected.

a must go! It was really awesome going through and learning the history from different parts of Mexico. Last Wednesday of each month, you can go in at night and free of charge, really cool. Not as crowded as the days can be. But a few exhibits are closed, so I will have to go again in the future. haha.

The museum is so beautiful. Very tranquil and peaceful for a visit. It says you a limited to a 1 hour time, but that’s not accurate, you can kind of stay as long as you like. There was no real option of a guide in English or anything. In most museums you can have like an audio guide. But not here. I would also say it’s a little pricy considering the size of the museum. Make sure to book in advance on the official website for the best price.

On Saturday morning, I took a walk in Mexico City, where traffic suddenly became less, and the air suddenly became better. I walked 2.5 kilometers and felt the joy of exercise. I saw many people in the park area on holidays, and I saw children happily visiting the zoo. Although there were not many animals, the natural ecology was well maintained.

The castle is an amazing place to remember some history from the time when Maximiliano de Hasburgo and his wife arrived to mexico to the actual moment. Also all the Mexican context and the nationalism that in primary we get as Mexican. is beautiful to remember. I saw that the Folklore Ballet of Amalia Hernandez have some performances there, I love that company. it’s a pitty that next day I had to go from CDMX and we already have plan for that evening. if you have time get the tickets ☺️

The Great Temple is located next to the central square. It is a super convenient attraction. The original temple has been destroyed by Spanish colonists. Only the tower base and stone steps remain, but the architecture of that time is still amazing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Ik Kil Cenote is one of Mexico’s most beautiful natural attractions and a truly unforgettable place to visit. Surrounded by lush greenery and cascading vines, this stunning sinkhole features crystal-clear turquoise water that invites visitors to swim and relax. The dramatic rock walls and natural lighting create a magical atmosphere that feels almost otherworldly. Located near the famous Chichén Itzá archaeological site, it is the perfect place to cool off after a day of sightseeing. Whether you are seeking adventure, photography opportunities, or simply a unique natural experience, Ik Kil Cenote is a must-visit destination in Mexico.

We welcome tourists to Dolphin Beach. The iconic landmark here is the big "CANCUN" logo, which is also a good place for tourists to check in. This is the public beach in the hotel area. After all, many all-inclusive hotels have their own private beaches! Pay attention to sun protection in the azure Caribbean Sea, and parasols are provided. La Isla Shopping Village in Cancun is the largest shopping center and commercial street. It has local brands, various souvenirs, and international brand stores. It is located opposite Westin Lagunamar in the central area of the hotel area. For more fun in Mexico, please consult me!

The historic center of Mexico City is centered on the Constitution Square and has many historical buildings, including the National Palace, the Cathedral, the Great Temple, the Art Museum, the Latin American Tower, etc. It has both Mayan relics and many relics left by Spanish colonization. It is the most worth visiting place in Mexico City.
