No. 1 of Fall Viewing Attractions in Tibet

Basum Tso, located in Gongbo'gyamda County, Nyingchi, is a famous sacred lake of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism, holding a high religious status. The lake's waters are a beautiful turquoise, surrounded by verdant mountains, making for a stunning landscape. The Tsozong Gonpa Monastery, situated on an island in the lake, boasts a long history and distinctive sculptures and architecture. This area is well-developed for tourism and is one of the older attraction in Xizang . After entering the attraction, you'll need to take a sightseeing bus, which typically stops at three points along the way: the island in the middle of the lake, a viewing platform, and Jieba Village. Additionally, there are yachts available for lake tours within the attraction, but these require an extra fee. The attraction is accessible via a boardwalk built on the lake. The Cuozong Gomba Temple on the island was built in the late Tang Dynasty, and the island's rocks are carved into unique animal and Buddha images, which is particularly magical. The viewing platform is not far from the island in the middle of the lake; from a slightly higher vantage point, it offers panoramic views of the lake and the island, and is considered a classic attraction spot in the area. Jieba Village is a quiet village by the lake. Because many tour groups don't stop here, it retains its tranquility and serenity. The village has a charming, Swiss-style village feel, making it quite lovely.Gongbo'gyamda · 71.6 km from downtown

Kadinggou Attraction, also known as Kading Tianfo Waterfall Forest Attraction, is located on the banks of the Niyang River, 24 kilometers from Bayi Town on National Highway 318. The valley is full of towering ancient trees and gurgling water, and the environment is very beautiful. The cliffs on both sides have peculiar shapes, with various images such as big Buddhas and animals. There is also a 200-meter-high Tianfo Waterfall in the depths of the canyon, which is very beautiful. Kadinggou Scenic Attraction is not large. There are steps and plank roads in the Attraction, and you can walk around in about an hour. The main attraction in the Attraction is Tianfo Waterfall. Going up to the viewing platform, the silver chain-like water flows on the cliff, which is very spectacular. When the waterfall is small, it floats down like a silver chain, and when the water is large, it is magnificent and thrilling. There is a naturally formed Buddha statue on the rock wall behind the waterfall. It is said that this is the patron saint of Tibetan compatriots in Linzhi area. The face is clear, as if it was artificially carved. There are male and female guardians on both sides of the Buddha statue, and they are also solemn and lifelike. The female guardian Bandan Lhamo on the right is about 100 meters tall. You can vaguely see that she is wearing a veil, a ribbon around her waist, and holding Buddhist beads. Her image is lifelike; on the left is Jigong worshipping Buddha, and her image is equally lifelike. In addition to the heavenly Buddha and the guardians on both sides, there are also naturally formed abstract Buddhist landscapes around the cliff, such as Tathagata, Guanyin, Lama chanting, divine turtle calling the sky, divine eagle offering treasures, and butter lamps. Although they are also lifelike, they still require a little imagination. It is said that people with a predestined relationship with Buddhism can better see their forms. Under the waterfall, local Tibetans often support their elderly parents to come here to worship, hang prayer flags and offer Hada.Nyingchi · 22 km from downtown

The experience was excellent, with no hidden costs. The driver, Xiao Hei, explained everything throughout the trip and was very enthusiastic. He helped open the car door when we got in and out, and even stopped the car during the journey to let us take photos. He didn't rush us at all.

The Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon is incredibly magnificent, with the river rushing forward. I was fortunate enough to see the summit of Namcha Barwa emerging from the water. The snow-capped mountains and the canyon reflected each other, and the immense power of nature struck my heart. I must come here in my lifetime!

Because it was the off-season, the staff were noticeably less attentive. Also, it was raining when we went, so we didn't see the sunrise over the mountains, and the water was quite murky. The experience wasn't great, and I felt the scenery wasn't worth the price.

Suosong Village: A Peach Blossom Secret Hidden on the Banks of the Yarlung Zangbo River If you're looking for a place that blends snow-capped mountains, a river, and peach blossoms into one stunning scene, Suosong Village should be high on your list. It sits midway up the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, overlooking the majestic silhouette of Mount Namjagbarwa and the surging Yarlung Zangbo River. In spring, peach blossoms blanket the mountains, while in autumn, layers of forests paint the valley. Even the morning mist on ordinary days seems to shroud the village in a gentle veil. Most of the village's inns have been converted from Tibetan-style dwellings, offering breathtaking views from the window. In the evening, sit in the courtyard and watch the sunset gild the snow-capped mountains. In the morning, listen to the gurgling river and wait for the first rays of sunlight to penetrate the clouds, and even time seems to slow down. There's no need to search for scenic spots; simply stroll along the village roads, encounter villagers carrying barley, or find a quiet spot on a rock by the river to experience the healing power of the Tibetan mountains. The only thing to note is that you need to book a room in advance during the peak season, and it is recommended to drive slowly as the mountain road is winding - but the journey is definitely worth it.

We had two children aged 6 and under with us, and we strolled around, playing as we went. There were fewer people in winter; it would probably be even more beautiful in March or April when the azaleas bloom. But winter has its own charm, and the kids continued to play as they walked. There's a long wooden boardwalk at the beginning, surrounded by lots of plants, which is quite interesting.

Guoguotang Big Bend is not a large scenic area. Standing on the observation deck, you can see the rushing Yarlung Zangbo River making a 180° turn like a snake among the misty tea gardens, like a long dragon entwined among the lush rainforest. The peculiar landscape makes me marvel at the wonders of nature.

Buddha Palm Sand Dunes is such a great place! From a distance, a large area of golden sand is piled up like the palm of Buddha, with very soft and smooth lines. When the sun shines on it, it sparkles like gold powder. Standing on the top of the sand dune, you can see snow-capped mountains, forests and the Yarlung Zangbo River at the same time. Several completely different landscapes are put together, just like a photo-editing software synthesis --but it is purely natural! ! ! The most amazing thing is that the sand dunes can "sing"! The sand squeaks when you step on it, and sometimes you can hear a buzzing sound when the wind blows. The locals say that this is the Buddha chanting. It is also exciting to play, you can slide on the sand, roll around, and the photos you take are all blockbuster effects. You can adjust any filter to go viral on WeChat Moments. The most amazing thing is that there are green mountains and green waters all around, but a big sand dune suddenly appeared in this area, as if someone deliberately dumped several trucks of sand. In fact, this is a natural wonder created by strong winds and river water for tens of thousands of years. It is much cooler than man-made scenic spots! ! ! If you come to Linzhi, I recommend it! !

First of all, don't ride a horse when you go to Midui. Don't ride a horse. Don't ride a horse. Don't ride a horse. I'll say it three times. Reasons: First, the walking path is only 1.5 kilometers. Although the altitude is 3,900, the walking route is full of ancient forests. There is plenty of oxygen. Basically, you don't have to worry about altitude sickness. You can walk and stop and have fun. It's very easy to walk to the viewing platform. When I went there, even the old men and women in the sunset group who took the scenic area car walked to the viewing platform. Second, the round-trip price of horse riding is 100 per person. If you take another route, you will miss the scenery on the walking path. And it will limit your time to take pictures at the viewing platform. In addition, the horses are very dirty, not to mention the smell. Third, and most importantly, you can't choose the horse. You have to ride whatever is brought to you. There is no choice. Basically, 90% of the horses are pitifully thin. Those who want to take pictures on horseback advise you to give up this idea. And the local Tibetans who lead horses are extremely arrogant and bad, and even pull you. Because of this personal experience, I chose to walk. Now it seems to be a very correct choice, so I don't want to ruin the good mood of the trip, I advise you to get off the scenic area bus and go straight to the walking path. As for the scenery of Midui Glacier, I personally feel it is worth it. In addition, let's talk about the walking time. Three hours is enough for walking, stopping, taking photos, resting, taking photos at the viewing platform, and taking aerial photos. Don't worry about altitude sickness. I took my 70-year-old mother who has basic diseases such as hypertension and coronary heart disease, and she walked to the viewing platform easily. So finally, I advise you again, stay away from the horses in Midui and those villagers who are trying to cheat you out of money.
