Kanali tou Erota is a charming attraction on the Greek island of Corfu, located near the island's western coastline. It has become an ideal destination for tourists due to its unique natural landscape and romantic atmosphere. Its name means "channel of love" and provides a romantic place for couples and newlyweds. The attraction itself is a tranquil bay surrounded by emerald green mountains and lush vegetation, with crystal clear waters and soft, fine sand. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll here to enjoy the tranquility of nature, or take a dip in the cool waters and feel the comfort and relaxation brought by the sea. The beautiful scenery of the bay makes it a paradise for photography enthusiasts, especially at sunset, when the sunlight shines on the sea, forming beautiful light and shadows, giving people a sense of soothing the soul.Sidari · 14.1 km from Paleokastrites

Trulli, Rione Monti is one of the best-preserved complexes of conical stone dwellings in Europe. Trulli are a unique type of dry-stone construction built without mortar, relying solely on limestone blocks stacked in layers, with conical roofs formed by stones corbelled outward layer by layer. This architectural technique dates back to prehistoric times and is still used in the Itria Valley today. Originally scattered across the countryside as farmhouses, animal shelters, or storage for farm tools, Alberobello is where these trulli are clustered together. The town preserves over 1,500 trulli, mainly concentrated in two areas: the Rione Monti district in the south features approx. 1,000 conical-roofed houses, with various handicraft shops lining the streets, and many shop owners invite visitors inside to see the interior structure of the trulli; the Rione Aia Piccola district is smaller and retains a more authentic residential character, with no commercial shops, offering a quieter atmosphere perfect for a leisurely stroll. As you wander through, you will see layers of white limestone walls and gray conical roofs.Italy · Alberobello

Navagio Beach Viewpointis located on the northwest coast of Zakynthos, Greece, and is a classic spot for enjoying a panoramic view of Navagio. With its open view and elevated position, you can take in the entire outline of the bay, the white pebble beach, the rusted shipwreck, and the rich, layered shades of blue water. Looking down from near the viewpoint, the bay is surrounded on three sides by nearly vertical white limestone cliffs. The massive cliffs rise from the coast, showcasing a rugged and spectacular landscape. Below the cliffs, a white pebble beach stretches along the bay, and the shipwreck, stranded for years, rests quietly on the shore. The rusted hull creates a striking contrast with the surrounding pristine natural scenery. The charm of the viewpoint also lies in the changing light and shadows throughout the day. On clear days, the sunlight makes the colors of the water even more vibrant, and the white cliffs and blue sea create a strong contrast, making it perfect for taking classic panoramic photos.Greece · Elation

Navagiois located on the northwest coast of Zakynthos, Greece, and is one of the iconic natural views on the Ionian Sea. The bay is surrounded on three sides by towering, steep cliffs and faces the vast open sea, forming a secluded coast that feels like a hidden paradise. The breathtaking scenery here is defined by the massive white limestone cliffs that surround the beach. The cliffs rise nearly vertically to a height of about 200m, displaying rugged and layered textures shaped by years of erosion from sea winds and waves. The stark white cliffs contrast sharply with the fine, light-colored sand in the bay, outlining a natural crescent-shaped coast. Standing in the bay and looking up, it feels as if you are in a massive open-air theater carved by nature, which is both spectacular and serene.Greece · Elation

Blue Caves Zakynthos

Blue Caves Zakynthosare a series of natural sea caves along the coastline and one of the island's iconic natural landscapes. Devoid of artificial embellishments, the site relies on its peculiar rock formations, crystal-clear water, and dreamy blue light to create a visual experience that feels like stepping into a fairy tale. What makes this place so fascinating is the ever-changing blue light within the caves. Sunlight enters through the cave openings near the water's surface, passes through the crystal-clear water, and reflects off the light-colored limestone seabed, creating a unique optical effect. Because water absorbs different wavelengths of light to varying degrees, red and orange light gradually fade, while blue light becomes more prominent, making the cave walls, water, and rocks appear as if they are bathed in layers of blue light. The interior landscape is equally distinctive. The light-colored rock walls, eroded by waves over the years, have formed irregular natural textures, while the arched ceilings and undulating rock surfaces cast soft shadows on the water.Greece · Elation

Sassi di Matera

23 reviews
Sassi di Matera is a vast, ancient cave settlement carved into the cliffs along the Gravina River canyon. The history of human habitation here dates back to the Paleolithic era, and it is considered one of the earliest human settlements in Italy. The entire cave area consists of two main districts, Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso. Dwellings, churches, and even animal pens were carved directly into the soft limestone rock, with roofs often serving as streets for neighbors, and stone houses cascading down the entire valley slope. Historically, local farmers and herders carved caves into the rock face to live in, gradually developing into a permanent village. Due to poor living conditions within the caves, most residents moved to the new city, and the old district fell into decline until it was restored and redeveloped at the end of the 20th century. Today, as you stroll through the stone alleys, you can enter cave dwelling museums that recreate the daily life of farmers from the past, visit hundreds of rock-hewn churches scattered throughout the area—many of which still retain frescoes from the Middle Ages—and find that many caves have been converted into hotels, restaurants, and shops. Because the landscape of the mountain city resembles ancient Jerusalem, it has frequently been chosen as a filming location, with movies such as "The Passion of the Christ," "Wonder Woman," and "No Time to Die" all filmed here. The Sasso Caveoso district is closer to the original cave form, with most of the rock-hewn churches and cave dwelling museums concentrated there, while the Sasso Barisano district has undergone more restoration and has a more orderly appearance. At dusk, head to the Piazzetta Pascoli viewpoint or look back from the Murgia Plateau on the opposite bank; the expanse of caves filling the valley slope in the sunset and lights is an iconic image of Matera.Italy · Matera

In Summer this little town was suuuuper crowded!!What I can recommend though is driving up to the monastery ( Holy Monastery of the Virgin Mary in Paleokastritsa). It’s perched right on a cliff above the famous bays. The views are insane—pure turquoise water as far as the eye can see!The monastery itself is just beautiful. It’s got this cool yellow bell tower with a flag at the very top, and the whole place is filled with these gorgeous stone-paved courtyards and massive terracotta pots. Everything feels so peaceful. We wandered around, checking out the old well and the different little corners! 🙂

When the weather is good, this place is absolutely beautiful, so my reminder is to make sure the sky is clear before you go, so that the photos will look good. Otherwise, if it is gray, although it is also beautiful, the photos taken will not have that fairy-tale feeling. The photos below were taken on a cloudy day, so the sky is not very blue. This place is definitely worth a visit, especially in the summer. It is very beautiful. There are many special shops, restaurants, cafes and places for handmade leather products.

Having seen many seas, I'm completely captivated by the fluorescent blue of Shipwreck Bay 🌊. Shipwreck Bay truly is a must-see destination. Having traveled to so many countries, I've never seen such a blue sea before. That refreshing, fluorescent blue goes straight to the soul, a truly breathtaking sight. It's not just about the distant view from the observation deck; a visit to Shipwreck Bay isn't complete without a boat trip. Only by boat can you get up close to the white cliffs, the beach, and the rusty shipwreck. The journey also takes you through the Blue Grotto, where the water shimmers with a clear, deep blue, with light and shadow shimmering on the surface—another kind of stunning experience. The observation deck has a long walkway. There's a queue at the first viewing point, mainly for panoramic views of Shipwreck Bay. The second and third viewing points are on the same platform. The third point always has a long queue, with everyone waiting to stand on that pillar for a photo with themselves and Shipwreck Bay in the frame. The second viewing point doesn't have a long queue; just walk along the walkway to the left to directly enjoy the stunning seascape of Shipwreck Bay. Ideally, visit in the afternoon when the sunlight shines on the sea, making the fluorescent blue waters crystal clear and breathtaking. ⚠️Useful Tips 1. The viewpoint is located on the edge of a cliff, and the ground is uneven. Please be extremely careful when taking photos close to the edge. 2. The viewpoint only offers an overview. To see the beach, shipwreck, and Blue Grotto up close, you must take a small boat out to sea. 3. A boat trip can combine a visit to Shipwreck Beach and the Blue Grotto, allowing you to experience the core Zakynthos seascape in one trip.

Did Korean dramas make this place popular? Fortunately, I went there before. However, because this is not a conventional beach with convenient transportation, it is basically reached by boat. Generally speaking, there are not many people. There is no commercial development here. There are no services such as drinks, meals and sunshades, so tourists will not stay for too long. For this reason, the sand and stones on the beach are all original, not the kind of very fine artificial sand. However, although it is not big and cannot provide additional services, it is still one of the most beautiful beaches, especially in sunny weather, it is so beautiful

Blue Grottoes, as the name suggests, refer to those blue caves that automatically emit blue light. However, I almost missed seeing them. The Greek sea is a beautiful, azure blue. However, you have to take a speedboat to find a deeper blue in this azure sea. There is such a place at the northernmost corner of Zakynthos Island. Turn into the cave and look down carefully through the transparent deck at the bottom of the boat. The bright blue is deeply imprinted in my mind...
