A fantastic place to learn about the Dong ethnic group. We visited three villages, saw the drum towers, observed the local dwellings, and explored the museum… There were also very beautiful ancient bridges and wells. It was definitely worth the trip. We parked in the underground parking lot of the scenic area, but to get inside, we still needed to take an electric cart, and it took about an hour and a half to walk through the three villages.

The air quality index is excellent, the environment is elegant and comfortable, and it is suitable for mountain climbing enthusiasts to check in. The park lacks amusement projects and can add some sightseeing facilities such as olive carts and Ferris wheels.

Sanjiang Drum Tower The Sanjiang Drum Tower is a typical representative of the wooden architecture of the Dong ethnic group. It is located in the center of Sanjiang County, Guangxi. The 27-story eaves are stacked one after another, and it looks like an exquisite wooden tower from a distance. The entire building does not use a single iron nail, and is connected entirely by mortise and tenon structure. Four century-old fir main pillars support the huge building. During the day, you can go up to the tower to enjoy the view, and the panoramic view of the county town is in full view; when the lights are turned on at night, the decorations on the eaves are more gorgeous under the lights, which is suitable for taking photos and checking in. There are also Fengyu Bridge, Moon Street Night Market and Fulu Temple nearby, so you can go shopping together.

The night view is very beautiful. You can drive here and tourists can walk across the river. It is a very good place. It is free. The whole Sanjiang Xiaotianchang is quite unique. But if you want to see the authentic old wind and rain bridge, you still have to go to Chengyang to take it to the scenic spot in Hebei County. You need to go there at night.

It's a small town on an island. From across the river, it doesn't look very big, but the island itself is actually quite large. With the Lunar New Year approaching, many families were making and selling cured pork and duck. The island has an academy and an old city gate. In ancient times, with its developed water transport, it must have been a very prosperous place. The island's villagers and we took the ferry together. Cars can also cross the river, which was quite an experience.

Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is not merely a bridge, but a pinnacle of Dong ethnic wooden architecture and a culmination of their spiritual culture, integrating bridge, corridor, pavilion, and tower elements. Construction began in 1912 and was completed in 1924, built by Dong craftsmen. As early as 1982, it was listed as a second batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units and is recognized as one of the world's four most famous historical bridges. It is the largest, most beautiful, and most culturally distinctive wind and rain bridge of the Dong ethnic group.

Looking at the comments and scenic spot introductions, many people are talking about the ancient wind and rain bridge in Chengyang Bazhai, which makes it a bit confusing. It took about ten minutes to walk all the way from Sanjiang Drum Tower and look at it while walking. The whole cross-river wind and rain bridge is quite shocking from the shore. In terms of structure, it should be a modern building.
