Things to do in Shanglin

Multiple stays consistently provide a perfect experience; cleanliness, environment, and service all exceed expectations. Facilities are well-maintained, making it a very reassuring choice for business travelers.

The staff at the scenic spot have a good service attitude. It is very convenient to drive directly to the top of the mountain. Novices are advised not to drive up the mountain. If you go up the mountain, you should look at the mirror more and honk the horn to drive at a low speed. It's a pity that I didn't go to the top of the mountain, but the scenery halfway up the mountain is very good and it's worth going again

It is very convenient to purchase and use. The queue for boarding is not long. It is fun to sit on the boat with the children.

The only scenic spot currently planned is an ancient dwelling, which is probably a clay house from the 1940s and 1950s, plus a somewhat old bluestone road. There are too few scenic spots for taking photos.

1. I never went during my years studying in Nanning, but thanks to my son, I got to visit. It was tiring, but incredibly fun. A great place for families where kids can burn off energy while adults stay entertained. 2. It was during summer vacation, so it was quite crowded. The only regret was not getting a chance to take photos with the giant water lilies. My son keeps talking about it, saying he'll definitely go earlier next time to queue. 3. The best route is to take the sightseeing bus directly to the top of the mountain and then walk down, which is less tiring.

Detian Transnational Waterfall wasn't very busy when we visited. The main attraction was the river spanning two countries, with bamboo rafts from both China and Vietnam cruising on it. Viewpoint No. 5 offered a great panoramic view of both waterfalls: the Chinese side is Detian Waterfall, and the Vietnamese side is Ban Gioc Waterfall. You can take photos at the 836 Boundary Marker. Staff directed the queue and maintained order, moving quickly. You can even ask them to take your photo for you; they take pretty good pictures. It's advisable to stay near the entrance. There's road construction on one section of the road leading to the scenic area, so drive slowly. If you're driving, you don't need to take the sightseeing bus. Parking at the scenic area costs 30 yuan per day. The entire area can be explored on foot in about two hours. The scenic area isn't large. At noon, we even caught a folk dance performance at the Bronze Drum Square. Next to the main scenic area is the Old Kapok Forest Scenic Area, where you can see the border line and boundary markers. It wasn't crowded, and there's a hotel inside.

I was very satisfied with my two-day trip to Meizhou Island. Renting an electric car to explore the island was a lot of fun. Crocodile Mountain is really beautiful. I recommend arriving around 4 pm when it's not too sunny. You can spend two hours there and catch the last shuttle bus. I also really liked the spot at Dripstone Screen, where I saw the sunset, which was perfect.

When visiting Guilin, a must-see is Elephant Trunk Hill, the city's iconic landmark. It truly lives up to its reputation as the face of Guilin's landscape; only by seeing it in person can one truly appreciate the wonders of nature. The entire mountain sits on the banks of the Li River, resembling a giant elephant bowing to drink from the water. The Water Moon Cave cuts through the mountain, its reflection shimmering in the water, creating the famous Elephant Trunk Hill and Water Moon spectacle—a flowing ink painting. The scenic area is clean and comfortable, with walking paths built along the Li River, shaded by lush trees, making for a delightful stroll. You can climb the mountain for panoramic views of Guilin, or find classic vantage points along the riverbank to capture stunning, atmospheric photos. Boat trips are also available, offering a different and breathtaking perspective of Elephant Trunk Hill from the river. The scenic area is conveniently located in the city center, with excellent transportation and comprehensive facilities. Every step reveals a new vista, allowing you to truly experience the unparalleled beauty of Guilin's landscape. Don't miss it when traveling to Guilin; it's definitely worth a visit.

Driving to Xiaoqikong in October offers pleasant weather and comfortable conditions. As a 5A scenic area, its infrastructure and services have greatly improved compared to ten years ago. Entering from the west gate and exiting from the east, the combination of shuttle buses and walking is very convenient. Inside the scenic area, the ancient bridge reflected in the emerald lake exudes a strong sense of history. Waterfalls like Wolong and Laya cascade down, creating a misty spray. Walking past the 68-tiered waterfall feels like a gentle breeze flowing through your heart, allowing you to blend into nature. The emerald lake, like a green gemstone, is full of romantic moments—a true green wonderland. It's poetry, music, art; a masterpiece of nature. Highly recommended!

There's a scenic spot called "Double Draw." Don't go there. It's just like a river, with a bamboo raft that takes you back and forth. If there's a highlight, it's driving from there to a small village in the distance, climbing to a specific mountaintop, and looking down. There's something quite interesting to see. Phone photos aren't great; a better camera would probably take better pictures.
