The ancient city was already inhabited in the 3-4th century before the park, and it began to flourish in the Middle Ages. In the 20th century, with the decline of the Silk Road, the ancient city was no longer glorious, and now only the ruins are left.Tajikistan · Hisor District

At the entrance of Somoni Square in Dushanbe, the capital, there is a statue of Ismail Somoni, the great king of the Samanid dynasty established by the Persian nation in Central Asia. It was during his reign that the Tajik nation began to appear in Central Asia, so Somoni was honored as the "father of the Tajik nation". Originally, there was a statue of Lenin standing on the square. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the local people pushed the statue of Lenin. Today, there are regular guards patrolling the statue of Ismail Somoni.Tajikistan · Dushanbe

The Hisor Fortress in Tajikistan is the most famous historical site here. The introduction says that it has a history of 3,000 years and is an important military fortress of the Bukhara Khanate. The existing fortress buildings were mainly rebuilt in the 16th and 17th centuries, including the city gate, mosque and the ruins of the Madrasah. Hisor was once an important trade and cultural hub on the Silk Road, connecting Central Asia with South Asia. The fortress gate is one of the symbolic buildings of Tajikistan. Transportation: I took a "taxi" from Dushanbe to visit, and it took about three hours round trip.
