Things to do in Thousand Islands

The Thousand Islands consist of over a thousand islands, with well-preserved natural ecology. The seawater has excellent visibility, allowing for underwater reef views during boat tours. The air is rich in negative ions, making it very comfortable and much fresher than the city.

Kingston used to be the capital of Canada. We stayed here for one night. The town is small but clean and tidy. It is built along Lake Ontario, so the scenery is also beautiful. The town hall in the center of the town is also relatively low-key. Compared with the town halls of many European and American metropolises, this building is much less luxurious. Opposite the town hall is a fountain and a locomotive model, and opposite is the shore of Lake Ontario.

First time here, our guide was great, unfortunately we forgot his name. He answered all our questions and didn't rush us. At the end of the tour you can walk around on your own and explore.

Kingston is a two-hour train ride from Ottawa, which is very suitable for a day trip. Because I was prepared for a once-in-a-lifetime visit, I got up at four in the morning, caught the earliest train, and returned to Ottawa at eleven at night, which was also a wonderful experience.
