Erlang Mountain National Forest Park
Erlang Mountain Diaohe Scenic Area is located at the southeast foot of Jiajin Mountain, at the southern edge of the rolling Longmen Mountain and Qionglai Mountains. It is a high mountain and deep valley area transitioning from the Sichuan Basin to the Western Sichuan Plateau. The tourism resources of the entire scenic spot can be divided into eight major scenic spots, including Angzhou River, Xuanxuangou, Fengzi River and the Grand Gorge. The scenic area has a good ecological environment, rich species of animals and plants, and many rare and protected species. It is a national forest park nature reserve. There are about 46 species of mammals, about 160 species of birds, about 7 species of fish, and about 14 species of reptiles known in the reserve, including giant pandas, takin, golden monkeys, red pandas, sambar deer, leopards, Sichuan-Shaanxi Salmon and other key protected wild animals. Bifeng Gorge Scenic Area
Bifeng Gorge Scenic Area is located in Xiali Township, Yucheng District, Ya'an City. It takes about 4 hours to walk through the entire canyon, and you can take the scenic shuttle bus directly to the Panda Garden. When strolling through areas such as Bifengxia Scenic Area - White Bear Flat, Panda Kindergarten, and Leopard Hill in the garden, you can see semi-free-range giant pandas. Fall Foliage Sightseeing in Ya'an
Ya'an, a city in western Sichuan that is known as the "Rainy City", creates another beautiful picture with red leaves all over the mountains every autumn and winter. Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is located in the northern suburbs of Chengdu, about 10 kilometers away from downtown Chengdu. The facility is famous for the protection and breeding of endangered wild animals that are unique to China. Dujiangyan Scenic Area
The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is located along the main branch of the Lancang River, west of Dujiangyan City. It was constructed in the Qin dynasty around 256 BC by Li Bing, Prefecture Chief of Shu County, and his son. It is one of the few ancient Chinese water conservancy projects that has remained preserved and intact. The project consists of three primary works—Yuzui Diverting Embankment, the Feishayan Spillway, and the Baopingkou Water Inlet, and two secondary works which include the Baizhangdi (the thousand-feet dam) and Renzidi (the y-shaped dam). They divide the Yongjiang River into an outer and an inner branch, the former of which is used to divert floods and the latter for irrigation. The scenery was beautiful and there weren't many people, which was nice, but the monkeys were terrifying. The security guards couldn't get there in time, and a monkey climbed on me. The monkey wasn't afraid of people at all; even when my dad yelled at it, it kept baring its teeth at the three of us. Also, there were no instant noodles for sale inside, and the noodles they sold cost 10 yuan a bowl, which felt really expensive.

The scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh. After parking, take the park bus to the visitor center, then take the shuttle bus. It's best to go in the morning, as the pandas are usually full and sleeping after 11 am.

The lamas are too cute 😍Worth the trip great animals to see sufficient food options.... But language barrier might cause confusion. Make sure you know exactly what is included in your ticket.

The cable car experience was excellent, running smoothly and making the ride very reassuring. The scenery along the way offered different perspectives, with stunning views that widened as you went higher, creating beautiful photo opportunities.
The staff were friendly and helpful, providing guidance on both boarding and alighting, making the whole process very smooth. Besides saving a lot of energy from hiking, it also allowed you to fully appreciate the scenery, making it a well worthwhile experience! 👍

I set off from Baoguo Temple Service Center at 7:00 AM, took a 2-hour bus ride to Leidongping, and then hiked to the Golden Summit. I didn't take the cable car; it took about an hour to reach the summit. It was foggy that day, so I couldn't see the Buddha statues clearly. I started my descent around 1:00 PM. I saw a few monkeys in the distance. After getting off the cable car, I took another bus to Wannian Temple. The bus pass allows for two hops on and off. When I arrived at Wannian Temple, I saw the Wuliang Hall, which is even older than the Golden Summit. I took the last bus down the mountain at 6:00 PM.
