Independence Museumis located in the heart of the capital, Windhoek, and attracts many visitors. The museum building is approx. 40m high, and its golden curtain wall is particularly striking in the sunlight, full of distinct regional characteristics. A glass elevator is attached to the front of the building, adding a touch of futurism to its modern exterior. The exhibitions inside are spread across three floors, connecting the key stages of the country's development in chronological order. Through historical photos from the colonial period, as well as weapons, equipment, and various physical mementos used during the war, the exhibitions recreate the struggle and perseverance of the Namibian people during turbulent times. The visit concludes with a panoramic hall featuring an observation deck. Looking out the window from here, you can take in the cityscape of downtown Windhoek.Namibia · Windhoek
