Yancheng China Sea-salt Museum

Yancheng Yancheng China Sea-salt Museum was established on January 23, 2006, with the approval of the State Council. It is a specialized museum dedicated to the history and civilization of sea salt in China. It is located in the urban area of Yancheng, between the Chuanchang River, a famous ancient man-made salt transport river, and the Fan Gong Dike, a renowned sea defense dike from the Song Dynasty. It covers an area of 60,000 square meters, with a main building area of 18,000 square meters. The building's exterior is adorned with silver-white, cubic salt crystal shapes, resembling strings of salt crystals scattered along the banks of the Chuanchang River. It was completed and opened to the public on November 18, 2008. After renovations, it reopened on May 28, 2019. The new permanent exhibition, "The Chapter of Sea Salt," consists of four sections: "Drawing Sea Water for Salt Production," "Transporting Salt to All Directions," "History of Salt Administration," and "Sea Salt and Urban Development." It also features two special exhibition halls, "Song of Boiling the Sea" and "Fun of Sea Salt Around the World," which reflect sea salt culture and the overview of the global salt industry, as well as a permanent hall for temporary exhibitions. The museum aims to collect, preserve, and research historical materials related to China's sea salt culture from comprehensive and multi-faceted perspectives, while showcasing the achievements and contemporary charm of Chinese sea salt culture.

New Fourth Army Memorial Hall

New Fourth Army Memorial Hall is located at 159 Jianjun East Road in Tinghu District, Yancheng City. Nationally, it is a relatively large-scale memorial hall of the New Fourth Army, with new archives. It is composed of three parts: a main hall area, the former site of the Reformation Headquarter of the New Fourth Army, and the Army Formation Square. The main hall area contains the Historical Archive Display Hall, Weaponry Display Hall, Central Square, and other facilities. The former site is mainly used to showcase the old appearance of the headquarter, while displaying historical objects, archives, etc. The Army Formation Hall, there is a round garden, at the center of which is a memorial tower of the Army Reformation Headquarter, based on the bronze statue of New Fourth Army cavalry.

Salt Cube Radio and TV Tower

The Salt Cube Radio and Television Tower was designed by Academician Jiang Huancheng, who drew inspiration from salt crystals and stacked them layer by layer to create a modern tower-style landscape building. The main tower is 195 meters high. It is a steel-clad concrete structure and the only one of all tower structures in China that uses a full glass curtain wall. It won the National Steel Structure Gold Award. The tower not only houses a TV transmission center, but also gathers cloud-based viewing, bookstores, post offices, coffee shops and other business formats, becoming a city viewing landmark that integrates tourism, leisure and entertainment.

China Yellow Sea Wetland Museum

The Yancheng Yellow Sea Wetland Museum was renovated from the old Yancheng railway station, and its exterior retains the original arched architectural design. The museum houses over 1,000 exhibits, primarily animal and plant specimens including sperm whales, red-crowned cranes, and milu deer. The models of red-crowned cranes flying overhead, combined with the lighting, create a stunning visual effect. There are also many 3D projections on the walls inside, which are great for photos.
