Ordinary travelers typically combine walking with cable cars to explore Golden Summit in one or two days, enjoying the sunrise and sea of clouds, which is much more relaxed. The trail at Golden Summit roughly forms a "P" shape. To the right of the entrance are two-level cable cars leading to the mountain top, while the left side includes attractions such as the Diaoma Zhuang in Jiangxi Wugong Mountain National Scenic Area,Hero slopeThe hiking trails of the attraction. The "three major experiences" itinerary is as follows: start at noon on the same day, hike up from the right side with the assistance of a cableway, stay overnight at the golden summit, watch the sunrise and sea of clouds early the next morning, then continue counterclockwise to return via the left hiking trail. On the way from the entrance to the lower cableway station, you'll pass Shigu temple and Wugong Mountain Cultural Park in Pingxiang Wugong Mountain National Scenic Area, where you can spend half an hour for a brief visit. Sitting on the cable car, you'll see steep peaks and cliffs with pristine secondary forests above, and lush bamboo groves and terraced fields below, offering delightful views. If hiking up, you'll encounter scenic spots like Jinxin bridge, Jinxin waterfall, and Muzi rock along the way. Both options have their merits. The Zijigong Temple next to the cable car station is also called "Zhong'an," where the Prince of Wugong Mountain is enshrined. After visiting Ziji palace, it's time to ascend to the summit. Mount Longhu

4.5/5
7.9k reviews
Mount Longhu Scenic Area is located on the outskirts of Yingtan City and is the birthplace of Taoism. Its founder Zhang Daoling once cultivated and attained enlightenment here. The appearance of Mount Longhu Scenic Area is similar to Wuyishan, both featuring typical Danxia landforms and a World Natural Heritage site. Riding a bamboo raft on the Luxi River to enjoy the mountain views on both banks is fantastic, and the cliff tombs of the ancient Yue people hanging coffins and coffin climbing performances are also very eye-catching highlights. The main attractions are distributed along both banks of the Luxi River from north to south, in order Elephant Trunk Mountain - Xianshui Rock - Mosquito Village - Mount Longhu - Zhengyi Temple - Shangqing Ancient Town (Shangqing Palace). If you want to stay tight, you can visit the main attractions in one day, or split it into two days for a detailed tour. The scenic area operates on a flat ticket system (each attraction can be visited once). Usually, you buy a full ticket, which includes sightseeing bus and rafting (or boat) fees, which is quite cost-effective. The sightseeing bus stops at a wave and can be used multiple times. If you need to stay here, accommodations are available in Yingtan city as well as near the tourist center, Xianshuiyan, Shangqing Ancient Town, and Jiuquzhou, but usually the base is near the visitor center. When visiting Mount Longhu Scenic Area, you can travel by sightseeing bus, walking, or rafting. For a day of sightseeing at the main attractions, you can take a sightseeing bus from the visitor center to Mount Longhu - Zhengyi Temple, then transfer to the farthest Shangqing Ancient Town (about 10 kilometers), and from there, travel backward to the starting point. Most houses in the ancient town are newly built. You can first visit Changqing Ward, then stroll along Shangqing Ancient Street. The town's highlights include the Celestial Master's Mansion and Shangqing Palace. The Celestial Master's Mansion is the ancestral home of the Zhengyi Sect, and most of the existing wooden buildings are antiques from the Qing Dynasty. Shangqing Palace is still a few kilometers away, with fewer tourists. If you don't want to wait for sightseeing buses, you can take a taxi ride there. Have lunch in the ancient town, then take a bus back to Mount Longhu - Zhengyi Temple. The temple here is slightly smaller than the Celestial Master's Mansion and was rebuilt in recent decades, so it's relatively new. It's worth a quick look. From Mount Longhu to Zhengyi View, walk another 5 minutes to the starting point of the rafting, and from here to the finish point at Xianshuiyan, the whole journey takes about 50 minutes. Along the way, you can enjoy mountain views on both banks. The boatmen will tell you legends about the Supreme Lord Laozi and the Queen Mother of the West, but this will cost extra. The famous "Ten Must-Haves" Danxia Stone Scenery can be seen in about three places in this section. The cliff tombs and hanging coffins at Xianshuiyan are full of mystery. The scenic area regularly stages a "coffin lifting" performance every day (10:00-16:00, every 2 hours for reference), demonstrating the process of securing coffins into caves on the cliff. Visitors watch from the Peach Blossom Islet shore, the final stop of Xianshuiyan on Mount Longhu, while the performance takes place on the opposite cliff, making it quite thrilling. Because "lifting the coffin" sounds like "promotion," some people come here to seek good luck. Bamboo rafts are parked on the water, and about 10 minutes before the coffin-raising performance, there is a "cormorant fishing" show showcasing the fishing and hunting lifestyle of the ancient Yue people. After watching the performance, take the free ferry to the opposite bank, then follow the signs to Fairy Rock. This rock, known as the "Mother Earth," is a famous spot in the Mount Longhu Scenic Area, vivid and lifelike. Not far from the Xianshui Rock terminal at Mount Longhu—Peach Blossom Islet—is the south gate of Elephant Trunk Hill. Halfway up the mountain, there is a smooth boardwalk where you can admire the mountain's silhouette from different angles as you walk. This Elephant Trunk Hill is much more rugged than the one in Guilin, with a straight trunk that looks very lifelike. It takes about one hour to walk along the boardwalk to the East Gate. The last attraction is the mosquito-free village, which can be reached by sightseeing bus. The scenery of Wuwen Village itself is average; most people come here to fill their stomachs. The village has two famous dishes: Celestial Master Tofu and Celestial Master Bagua Banquet, both vegetarian. It can be used for dinner. If you arrive at Mount Longhu Scenic Area in the afternoon, it's recommended to first visit Shangqing Ancient Town, then go to Mount Longhu - Zhengyi early the next morning to enjoy the rafting (there's almost no need to queue at this time), then go ashore to visit Elephant Trunk Hill to watch the coffin-raising performance and Fairy Rock. Afterwards, walk along the Luxi River to Wuwen Village for lunch. Nearby attractions like the Ancient Yue Folk Village are also worth seeing, allowing you to slowly enjoy the scenery of Mount Longhu Scenic Area.China · Guixi

Hengshan Mountain truly lives up to its reputation as the most beautiful mountain under heaven. The entire hike, from top to bottom, took about seven hours with minimal stops except for taking photos. We happened to be there on a beautiful weekend, and the summit was packed with people, mostly those who had come by car. The Zhurong Temple was extremely popular with worshippers. It was definitely worth the trip.

The experience of visiting Wugong Mountain was quite good. The hiking route was of moderate difficulty and not strenuous. The view from the summit was expansive, overlooking vast meadows. The breeze was pleasant and refreshing. There were also ample supply points along the way, so I didn't need to bring too much with me. It was a very relaxing trip.

As expected of Songcheng, it's really good. First of all, the environment is nice, and the prices are incredibly low. For example, a cup of green tea is only 6 yuan, and you can even get refills! The most interesting thing is the courtesan's dance! It's truly excellent!

A must-see art museum! You can deeply experience the artists' lives and creations. It's a beautiful place and free—how could anyone not want to go! The artists' works have depth of field, requiring a certain distance to appreciate them more clearly. Some works are even more moving when the light is off. This time, I was too rushed to have a proper in-depth experience; I recommend allocating 2.5 to 3 hours or more.

My experience at Lingshan Mountain in Shangrao was great; I'd give it a four-star rating. The huge rock with red characters carved at the entrance is very eye-catching and a classic photo spot. The most surprising thing was riding the cable car through the clouds; everything around was white, like being in a fairyland. Although I couldn't see the distant mountains clearly, this hazy feeling was even more charming. ✨ Overall, the service and value for money were excellent. It's a great place to relax and breathe in the fresh air on a weekend, and I recommend visiting during off-peak seasons. 😋

It's pretty good. Compared to Taoyangli and Taoxichuan, it's not too crowded. There's also a porcelain music performance.

The legendary Longhu Mountain truly lives up to its name! The emerald waters and crimson cliffs of the Luxi River make for a particularly pleasant bamboo rafting experience, with the red mountains reflected in the water like stepping into a landscape painting. The Tianshi Mansion, an ancient temple steeped in Taoist culture, offers a serene atmosphere and a mysterious hanging coffin performance, allowing visitors to experience the wisdom of the ancients. The Elephant Trunk Hill's natural rock formations are breathtaking, and the overall activity is not strenuous, making it easy for all ages. With its stunning scenery and rich cultural heritage, if you have enough time, I highly recommend watching the "Dreaming of Longhu Mountain" live performance – an immersive experience that makes this journey of seeking enlightenment well worth it!
