Baohua Mountain is approx. 30 km from Jurong to the south, Zhenjiang to the east and Nanjing to the west. With an altitude of 437.2 m, it is named after Monk Baozhi, the prototype of Ji Gong and the founding master of Longchang Temple on the mountain. Longchang Temple is the main attraction of the scenic area. Built in the first year of Tianjian during the Liang Dynasty (502 AD), it is famous for its three-altar ordination ceremony and is currently one of the largest ordination sites in China. Monks receive their ordination certificates from Longchang Temple. Baohua Mountain has two main gates: the north gate and the south gate. Visitors usually enter the attraction through the north gate, as buses pass by this gate and National Highway 312 is also located to the north. The mountain has a winding road, making driving more convenient than taking buses. Vehicles entering the attraction must purchase both admission tickets and parking tickets. Small vehicles (under 15 seats) cost CNY 10 per vehicle, while large vehicles cost CNY 15 per vehicle. Non-driving travelers can take the shuttle bus inside the attraction for a one-way fare of CNY 10, or walk from the foot of the mountain to Longchang Temple, which takes approx. 30-40 minutes. After visiting Beiquan lake and the coal mine "General's cave" dug by General Xu Shiyou from the north gate, travelers will arrive at the hiking trail "Qianlong imperial path". Those who hike can take the stairs uphill from here, while self-driving travelers visiting in April are also advised to park by the roadside, walk a section of the trail before returning to their parking spot to see the three-million-year-old Magnolia zenii on the mountainside, with its lotus-sized white flowers tinged purple-red at the base. At "Qinhuai river source", travelers can stop and climb a few steps to the hilltop for panoramic mountain views. Note that the "Qinhuai river source" here merely indicates Baohua mountain as the river's origin through an informational sign, rather than showing the actual source. If you depart from Nanjing, Zhenjiang, or other places in the morning, you will likely arrive at Longchang Temple on the mountain around noon. You can first have a vegetarian meal at Baoyue Zhai near the temple entrance—the vegetarian noodles are recommended, with a reference price of CNY 20. Afterward, visit Longchang Temple. The temple's main gate faces north and features Huizhou-style architecture. Highlights include: 1) the white marble ordination platform from the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty, where hundreds of thousands of monks have been ordained since the Qing era; 2) the five large cauldrons from the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty, each capable of serving meals for a thousand people; and 3) the Bronze Hall and Beamless Hall built in 1605 (the 33rd year of the Wanli era in the Ming Dynasty). Caves like Wulong cave on the mountain can only be viewed at the entrance. Only experienced outdoor teams equipped with cave exploration gear like searchlights and ropes can descend for closer inspection. It's a stalactite cave. Other attractions on the mountain include the mountain turtle listening to scriptures, the monk cemetery complex, and Tianlong blessed land square. Every October, generally around October 8-18, Longchang Temple holds the Three Altars Ordination Ceremony, which accepts both male and female participants. Travelers can observe the ceremony but must respect Buddhist etiquette by avoiding loud noises and pointing. In late April each year, Baohua Mountain hosts the mountain soaking festival, featuring various activities such as camping, hiking, and kite flying. Baohua Mountain attraction has the Shanyifang international resort on the southern side of the mountain, and Baohua Mountain villa outside the north gate, both offering accommodation. Staying in Baohua town is also an option, but it's better to return to Zhenjiang or Nanjing for more choices and complete dining and entertainment options.

Dongguan Street in Yangzhou is one of the city's most representative historical streets, stretching approximately 1122 meters. It begins at Dongguan Ancient Ferry in the east and ends at Guoqing Road in the west, traversing the core area of Yangzhou's Ming and Qing dynasty city. Originally built in the Tang dynasty, it became a main thoroughfare in the Song dynasty and flourished during the Ming and Qing dynasties due to the influx of salt merchants, earning it the reputation of being a microcosm of the "Number One Commercial Port in Southeast China." The street retains its "chessboard" layout from the Ming and Qing dynasties, with cobblestone paving, blue brick and gray tile roofs, and shops interspersed with residences. In 2010, it was jointly awarded the title of "One of China's Top Ten Historical and Cultural Streets" by the Ministry of Culture and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, and in 2013, it was upgraded to a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. Dongmen Ruins Square (East Gate of the Song Dynasty City): The earliest discovered double-barbican structure in China, with walls overlapping from the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties. A restored Dongguan gate tower, built according to the *Yingzao Fashi* (Building Standards), stands atop the wall, offering panoramic views of the ancient Grand Canal and Dongguan Ancient Ferry. Historical relics of Dongguan are displayed free of charge inside the gate tower. Ge Garden (one of the four famous gardens): The former residence of Huang Zhijun, a salt merchant during the Qing Dynasty, renowned for its bamboo, rocks, and seasonal artificial mountains. A side gate is located in the middle section of Dongguan Street, where tickets can be purchased for entry. Yi Garden, Jienan Study, Hu Garden, and Hua Garden: A series of interconnected salt merchant residences, featuring brick-carved gate towers and Hui-style firewalls. A combined ticket for 45 yuan allows in-depth visits to any six smaller attractions. Dongguan Ancient Ferry & Canal Night View: One of the oldest sections of the ancient canal. After dusk, the water is illuminated by lights, and you can take a painted boat for a night cruise at the dock. A 28-meter bronze sculpture, "The Grand Canal Through the Ages," stands on the bank. Intangible Cultural Heritage Mini-Theater: Encounter Yangzhou storytelling, Yangzhou opera, and guqin performances at any time on the streets. Puppet shows are added on holidays, allowing you to experience the dual facets of Yangzhou: a "World City of Gastronomy" and a "Hometown of Folk Arts." Dongguan Street is the "living room of Yangzhou Ancient City". You can see the canal, salt merchants, gardens, folk arts and morning tea in one street. It is suitable for leisurely strolling and eating, and feel the urban life and thousand-year cultural heritage of the famous city of Huaizuo.

Baohua Mountain is definitely worth a visit! It is like a paradise not far from the bustling city, integrating natural scenery, profound humanities, religious holy places and leisure experiences. Here are a few reasons why it is particularly worth going: 1. **Buddhist holy land, ancestral home of Vinaya school:** * **Core attraction:** The famous **Longchang Temple** (also known as Baohua Temple) is located on the mountain. This is the ancestral home of the Buddhist Vinaya school (Nanshan Vinaya school). It has a high status in the Buddhist world and is known as the "No. 1 mountain of Vinaya school". For those who believe in Buddhism or are interested in Buddhist culture and history, this is a must-visit holy place. * **History and architecture:** Longchang Temple has a long history and its buildings are simple and solemn. The temple has precious cultural relics, such as the Bronze Hall and the Beamless Hall, which reflect the exquisite craftsmanship of ancient architecture and the profound religious atmosphere. Here you can feel the quiet and solemn atmosphere of the thousand-year-old temple. 2. **National Forest Park, Beautiful Natural Scenery:** * **Excellent Ecological Environment:** Baohua Mountain is a national forest park with a very high forest coverage rate, dense vegetation, many ancient trees and famous trees, fresh air, rich negative oxygen ion content, and is a natural "big oxygen bar", very suitable for washing lungs and relaxing the body and mind. * **"The beauty of the forest and the beauty of the peaks":** Although the mountain is not particularly tall and steep, it is winding, with layers of peaks and ridges, and the scenery is beautiful and pleasant. There are the famous "Baohua Thirty-Six Scenic Spots", such as magnolia flowers (wild Baohua magnolias in spring are very precious), sea of fog, green peaks, ancient trees, etc., with different scenery in different seasons. 3. **Qianhua Ancient Village, Immersive Folk Experience:** * **Reconstructed Ming and Qing Style Street:** Qianhua Ancient Village (Yangliuquan Village) at the foot of the mountain is a carefully built Ming and Qing style folk culture village. Blue bricks and black tiles, small bridges and flowing water reproduce the lively street style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. * **Folk activities and performances:** There are various traditional handicrafts, special snacks, and folk performances (such as street juggling, opera, etc.) in the ancient village, which are very lively and interesting, suitable for taking photos and experiencing local customs. 4. **Mountain hiking, close to nature:** * **Perfect hiking trails:** Baohua Mountain has perfect hiking trails with moderate slopes, suitable for all ages. During the hiking process, you can exercise your body, enjoy the forest landscape, listen to the birdsong and streams along the way, and enjoy the wildness of the mountains and forests. * **Overlooking view:** After reaching the top, the view is wide, and you can overlook the surrounding scenery from a distance, which is refreshing. 5. **Excellent geographical location and convenient transportation:** * Baohua Mountain is located in the northwest of Jurong City, Jiangsu Province, not far from Nanjing City and Zhenjiang City (usually about 1 hour drive away), which is very suitable as a destination for a one-day trip or weekend short trip around Nanjing/Zhenjiang. 6. **All seasons are suitable, each with its own characteristics:** * **Spring:** The mountain flowers are in full bloom, especially the rare Magnolia grandiflora, which is a good time to enjoy the flowers.

Take a leisurely boat ride on the Slender West Lake and immerse yourself in the poetic charm of Jiangnan. The boatwoman gently rows, explaining the stories behind the White Pagoda and Five Pavilion Bridge along the way, occasionally humming a soft, melodious Yangzhou folk song. Willows sway gently on both banks, the lake is serene and tranquil, and the scenery changes with every step, offering unique and beautiful views from the water. The boat ride is smooth and comfortable, with a leisurely pace. The overall experience is elegant and an unmissable way to visit the Slender West Lake.

The "Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou" were a group of calligraphers and painters, represented by Zheng Banqiao, who were active in the Yangzhou area from the mid-Kangxi period to the late Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. They created a unique style by integrating poetry, calligraphy, painting, and seal carving, breaking through the foundations laid by their predecessors. This was unacceptable to the conservative and orthodox painters, hence the name "eccentric".

Ganlu Temple is located in the ancient city of Guangfu. It is a Buddhist temple with a long history. The environment in the temple is quiet and shady with green trees. It is a good place to get away from the hustle and bustle and cultivate one's body and mind. Walking in Ganlu Temple, it seems that you can hear the echo of history and feel its heaviness and solemnity.

I took advantage of the holiday to come to Nanjing Guazhou Ancient Ferry, which really gave me a lot of surprises. As soon as I arrived at Guazhou Ancient Ferry, the heavy sense of history came to me. The ancient ferry's architecture is simple and elegant, with flying eaves and brackets, as if telling the prosperity of the past. Walking in it, the stone slabs under my feet seem to still retain the footprints of the ancients, and every step is on the veins of history. The natural scenery of the ancient ferry is also very charming. Near the Yangtze River, the river is wide and sparkling. The river breeze blows on your face, bringing a hint of coolness, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. The ships in the distance come and go, forming a picture of movement and stillness with this ancient ferry. There are also rich cultural connotations here. Many literati and poets have left poems here, such as "Jingkou Guazhou One Water", which makes Guazhou Ancient Ferry famous. Walking in the ancient ferry, I can't help but think of the scenes of the ancients bidding farewell and chanting here, and the cultural charm is becoming more and more rich. The only drawback is that the supporting facilities around the scenic area can be improved, such as the dining and rest areas can be more diverse. But overall, Guazhou Ancient Ferry is a good place worth visiting, where you can appreciate the natural scenery and feel the profound historical and cultural heritage.

A pilgrimage to the kite-themed area. We descended into the actual underground palace. We carefully examined the legendary "Huangchang Ticou" (a type of ancient Chinese chamber architecture). We encountered many princes. Hopefully, the restaurant can actively collaborate; it would be a win-win situation.
