Very Good
Kkoh.I stayed here when I visited Hallstatt. It's just one stop from Hallstatt station, and since it was winter, it was really tough dragging our luggage through the snowy path to the accommodation.
Check-in after 3 PM involved entering a code into a box to the right of the main entrance to get the key.
The room was clean, and the shower worked fine, but the hairdryer was almost all cold air, so it took ages to dry my hair, which was a real hassle.
Breakfast was a simple buffet style, and I loved the wide variety of teas. There were also vegetables and fruits, and the ham was absolutely delicious, probably because there's a butcher shop next door.
Overall, the staff were friendly, and even the staff at the bakery next door were kind.
The location makes getting around a bit challenging, so I'd recommend staying here in the summer.
MMarcus ChuahThe location is really convenient—just a 5-minute walk to the bus station, plus there’s a tourist information center nearby. It made it super easy to check bus schedules and get around.
Visiting around late March to early April was special because we got to experience two different seasons in one trip—still snowy like winter, but with hints of spring starting to show. It felt quite unique.
I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re planning a trip to Hallstatt. I’d happily book it again on my next visit
LLaw_1The room was quite ordinary and simple, without anything particularly special or luxurious. However, it was clean and generally well maintained, which made the stay comfortable enough. The bed was fine, and the basic amenities provided were sufficient for our needs.
Housekeeping did a decent job, and overall cleanliness was acceptable throughout the stay. While the room design and facilities were fairly basic, it served its purpose well, especially for resting after a long day outside.
Overall, it was a reasonably comfortable stay. Nothing impressive, but nothing to complain about either. The cleanliness was the main positive point, and the room met our expectations for a standard stay.
GGuest UserVisibly clean, but dirty if you looked close (moldy shower). In the standard double that I stayed in, you will get two (only 2) outlets in your room and neither will be near the bed. You will have one trashcan in the bathroom that is smaller than a gallon/two liters. Other than that, not horrible.
The restaurant is very expensive if you’re traveling on a budget (€40 Weiner schnitzel, so I would recommend finding something else to eat. If you plan on having more than a coffee for breakfast, definitely get a breakfast plan st the hotel. It is about €12 a morning and a cappuccino will run you about €8 euros in the resturant. A breakfast plan gets you whatever you want in the resturant in the morning for free!
If you’re planning on exploring the area, you’ll definitely want a car or bike, do NOT rely on public transit or you will end up paying a lot for taxis. You also cannot rely on uber because you’re too far away from Salzburg.
GGuest UserOnly four stops from Linz Hbf Light Rail Near Linz AG Hotel is spacious, bright and clean. The small disadvantage is that there are no shops around. If you want to rest at the Austrian relay station, it is a good choice to go to Harstadt.
CCandyHKDThis hotel really elevated our trip in the surrounding area. The room came with a nice environment, a shared kitchen for reheating food, with a nice dining area with great Mountain Views and. All the rooms have heating and AC, and the hotel was also very close to the train station.
The hotel owners are also always eager to help you. the highlight of this stay was when Jasmin helped us plan our activities during our stay, with an annotated map and local insight. This really saved us from headaches and research regarding our visit to the area.
SSeng teck georgeThe hotel has very nice breakfast and the hotel is monument time. The hotel is located right beside the shopping street which is very convenient with a lot of food choices before the shop is closed. It is also served by a tram system that can bring you to the train station overall a very nice hotel to stay with friend.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the town of Obertraun, 5 kilometers away from the town of Hallstatt. You can walk there, take a train for 2.8 euros, and then take a ferry. You can also ride a bicycle (free of charge) or take a taxi. The hotel owner lives upstairs in the cottage. The first floor is for accommodation. It is clean and hygienic. You can cook. There is a sauna room. The bedroom can accommodate 3-4 people. The scenery is beautiful and the room owner is enthusiastic, but remember to check out at 10 o'clock the next day. Overall very good.
GGreg from San DiegoBeautiful setting and a cute town in the heart of the Austrian Alps Lake District. The breakfast was great with many selections. Parking is a bit of a problem with limited space for unloading only near the hotel. Highly recommend this location for easy access to Bad Ischl and Hallstättersee without the crowds.
GGuest UserThe room is very clean and tidy, and the kitchen appliances and tableware are all available. The environment around the house is very beautiful and very quiet at night. There is a small path on the right hand side leading to the lake.
