This is a scenic, characteristic hotel with great hygiene and convenient transportation. When booking train or bus tickets, make sure not to book for 'Hallstatt Station'; instead, book for a station closer to the hotel.

Amazing winter mountain views and a super cozy room with elegant wood design—simple, comfortable, and straight out of a fairytale. The breakfast spread was incredibly delicious, and the hotel’s design is beautiful in every detail. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the welcome drinks and early check-in. A wonderful stay overall.

Die Lage direkt am Hauptplatz ist ideal, hier ist alles fußläufig erreichbar und die Straßenbahn hält vor der Türe. Das Design des Motel one, wie überall einmalig und schön; dass man einer Alleinreisenden Frau aber erst mal ein dunkles Loch mit Fenster zu einem 2qm ”Licht”-Schacht anbietet ist fast schon sexistisch. Mein Bruder bekam vor einiger Zeit, auch alleinreisend, sofort ein schönes Zimmer zum Hauptplatz. Lästig auch, dass die Zimmerkarte schon eine halbe Stunde vor Checkout time gesperrt ist und das Zimmermädchen drängelnd klopft, obwohl das ”Nicht stören Schild” an der Tür hängt.

The room is very clean and tidy, and the kitchen appliances and tableware are all available. The environment around the house is very beautiful and very quiet at night. There is a small path on the right hand side leading to the lake.

This hotel is at the end of the lake. The hotel serves a really tasty buffet lunch for 15.90 Euros. It includes, salad, soup, probably 3 or 4 meat dishes and dessert. I was there 10 minutes before a huge group , maybe 50 in all arrived and I had to hurry myself to get my food because it would be a long wait. When I was eating people can’t squeeze by each other but I only ate there once and since it will rain that afternoon I didn’t waste any time. I have to say the staff was ok. A lady checked me in quite efficiently. I paid the occupancy tax and I got the key. When I arrrived at 11:45 am, there was no one in the small reception office. A waitress was really serving diners. There is a man who worked at the deli /sausage shop next to it to help out. I have to say the staff there in general wasn’t that welcoming. I wish they had been more pleasant and show a little smile and happiness in their work. It seemed like she was there because she had no other choice. The room is 12 at the end of a long hallway. There is a big window. The room is small but I was fine with it. No complaint. The other thing is I wish they put a table lamp on the small desk. Otherwise, the room has enough shelf space for me. The morning buffet is excellent. It offered some tomatoes, small baby coins , cucumbers, many different of rolls, several varieties of ham , salami, egg, sausages, yogures, juice, cereal. The coffee is made with coffee beans and it was excellent. The breakfast is the best. The small village has practically nothing. There is another hotel 10 to 15 minutes that serve dinner. Another town Bad Goisern is 2.4 miles to the north accessible by train or by bus where there is a Hofer ( Aldi in the U S ) and other supermarkets and restaurants. If you don’t have a car, you have to be prepared something or pay to eat at the one and only restaurant that I knew. On the other hand, this hotel has a microwave oven and one water kettle in case you have instant noodles. The bakery a few steps is expensive. I had a coffee and a sweet roll for 8 Euros. The hotel is a few steps from a trail that takes you down 6 miles to Obertraun . The trail is in good condition and a large distance is by the lake. You can find the trail in Alltrails. There is a restaurant called Seecafé Obertraun that you can rest to have a sandwich , coffee or a beer. The sitting is by the lake and there is a clean restroom . The waitress and waiter were both friendly. If I have to do it again, I would take a bus to Hallstatt from there . I think the bus number is 542 to 544. It should be cheaper than the ferry which is a rip off . 12 Euros for a 25 minutes ride. Bus is cheaper . The ferry is a fraud and it shouldn’t charge that much. I didn’t know there is a bus connection from there. All in all, this hotel is quite decent. The hotel doesn’t serve dinner but the buffet lunch is quite adequate. If you eat at 2:00 pm ( I think it closes at 2:30 pm ), you won’t need to dinner. Aside from the not so welcoming one out of 3 staff members, price is unbeatable. I notice that the price doesn’t change if you book early or late and doesn’t use dynamic pricing which I hate. If there is availability, you pay the same price which is more than fair. I read that one guest complaInts about the smell from the kitchen and the meat market next to it. It isn’t really an issue. There is a door on the second floor leading down to the kitchen and meat market. Someone closed the door in the morning. Some people just was so nitpicking when they are angry which is not justifiable. I believe the owner offers a decent , clean room for a very fair price as Hallstatt is really touristy and this hotel is a much better option that staying in Hallstatt and pay overpriced food and lodging with every shop sells souvenirs. If you are in the area, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Stayed at COOEE alpin Dachstein and absolutely loved the experience! 🏔️✨ The hotel has that perfect mix of modern comfort and cozy alpine vibes. My room was clean, bright, and had an amazing view of the mountains — waking up felt like a postcard moment every morning. The staff were warm and welcoming, always ready to help with tips for activities or transport. Breakfast was really good too — fresh, hearty, and exactly what you need before a day of exploring. Location-wise, it’s great if you want easy access to hiking spots, nature, and those breathtaking Austrian landscapes. Everything felt simple, relaxing, and stress-free, which is exactly what a mountain getaway should be. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Dachstein — comfortable, friendly, and surrounded by unbeatable scenery. 🇦🇹🤍🌲

I really love this accommodation. The room is filled with heater! On the floor, the tiles, even on the bed. Best part is the balcony view is gorgeous. I’d come back to stay again if I have the chance to. front desk lady is nice too! Knowing that I’m solo traveler pulling a big luggage, she was very helpful in helping me to bring it all the way up to level 2 via stairs. There is a bus stop just 150m away so you can just drop it off there from Salzburg or Hallstatt. Was so lucky to see a beautiful sunrise. Instantly brightens my morning. :)

The hotel has very nice breakfast and the hotel is monument time. The hotel is located right beside the shopping street which is very convenient with a lot of food choices before the shop is closed. It is also served by a tram system that can bring you to the train station overall a very nice hotel to stay with friend.

Very enjoyable stay. Easy check in. Plenty of parking and host is extremely kind and hospitable. Property is close to supermarket and bakery which is not open on Sunday. Reminder the ferry into Hallstatt from Obertraun doesnt run in winter. Clean and amazing canopy shower head. Very good stay.

Very Good. Living up to the promises. We come in Low Season. The hotel indeed provide Breakfast Buffet spread, open the Kitchen and Dining Hall only for the Two of Us. They din go cheap and giving lunch boxes. Recommended hotel
