From the moment we entered we were greated by friendly helpful staff. Room was perfect lovely hot shower. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was beautiful. Nice and hot and very prompt with the delivery. I would happily stay again and l would certainly recommend to anyone. Nice and quiet. Bed and especially the pillow were excellent. Best night's sleep away from home for ages.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the town hall, making it easy to walk to anywhere in the city center. Although it's a 3-star hotel in an old building, the facilities are very new, the bed is soft, and there's a mini-fridge. The only downside is that the internet can be a bit slow when there are a lot of people, but that doesn't affect my overall rating!

The location is good but other than that I would not call it a pleasant stay. Rooms and bathrooms are pretty dirty. They clean regularly but apparently not thoroughly. Power on my bunk did not work. The room has a 'temporary' AC which has collected dust like it has been there for a while already and it is unbearably loud. The exhaust air of this is routed to a closed window, therefore all the air stays in the room. Luckily I figured that out and opened the window the 2nd night but the AC still was loud. For $80 a night I do expect more.

The hotel rooms are just a row of simple ground-floor units, incredibly small. There's barely enough space to move once you put down a suitcase. The room amenities are very basic and poor quality, yet it cost nearly 800 yuan. The front desk service was even worse; they told us that our two-person reservation was only for one person and tried to make us pay for an upgrade. I told them I booked a double room, and for the upgrade price, I could stay at the Holiday Inn at the airport. Plus, the taxi ride here was quite expensive. I also thought the shuttle bus was available anytime, but it turns out it only runs every half hour, and now I have to wake up early tomorrow morning. I truly regret booking this hotel. It's expensive, unhelpful, and inconvenient.

The hotel is quite close to the Gold Rush town area; there's practically a path leading directly from within the area. Especially if you're participating in the Gold Rush town's aura activities, the evening shuttle will take you to the closest point on foot to the hotel. However, I opted to park my car in the Gold Rush town entrance parking lot during the day, and then retrieve it afterward and drive to the hotel entrance to check in. Both options seem quite convenient. As for the hotel itself, the exterior resembles a rural Australian building from the last century, likely an intentional attempt to match the Gold Rush town's vintage style. The rooms are more like the style of European or American school campuses I've seen before, with red brick walls, and even the bedding and bathroom feel quite similar. Overall, it's decent, the interior is acceptable for its price, which is quite reasonable for the Ballarat area. There's no 24-hour front desk; you have to call and wait for someone to come to check in and out. This seems to be common in many places in Australia.

Room was clean and comfortable. Pleased that our room and bed sizes got upgraded as there was one available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great and very close to the station, restaurants and shopping mall.  Little gym has the essentials for fitness which I was able to make use of. Only complaint was the buffet breakfast - very average if not poor quality. Fruit salad didn’t look fresh, hash browns looked over cooked and dry. Most food seemed as it had simply been taken out of packets or the fridge and served straight away, with no preparation behind it.  However for what was paid, we did get our money’s worth.

Very happy with our choice to stay at the Royal Hotel by Nightcap Social. The room was tidy, modern and comfortable. Our only slight concern and room for improvement would be a more thorough cleaning of the bottom of the shower and a service to the air conditioner, other than that, absolutely no complaints! Staff were friendly, room service food was excellent, shared amenities were clean and welcoming, overall a pleasant place to stay. Would recommend and would stay again.

Fine if you miss a flight and need somewhere right next to the hotel to just crash and wait for another flight. Very small and basic but you can walk to the airport. Godsend in an emergency but not really suitable for much else.

GGuest UserPerfect stay for a simple trip. Stayed at the single bed room. The room is small but just enough for my short stay. Room was clean & it has everything you expected for a budget hotel: Tea/coffee, milk on the fridge and toileteries. Wifi speed is good for browsing (Approx 40-50Mbps) The only downside is: Their hotel key is using old technology and easily demagnetised. I happen to put it next to my Airpods and it loses the magnetism.

GGuest UserThe photos on there site show a pool, we got there the pool has weeds growing out of it . Very disappointed and the Beds are very hard as well. The restaurant has closed down as well. The room was clean but know room service so your on your own if you run out of tea and coffee. Thank god we had a microwave so we could still eat.

GGabrielOverall clean and up to standard. Particularly convenient was the check-in and check out procedure, as the key was just left on the dining table. Parking was also convenient, as our car was at our doorstep. The room also had a kettle and a large fridge, while the smart TV also had Netflix and YouTube, with high quality sound. Overall a pleasant stay!

GGuest UserVery clean, nice renovated rooms with all amenities including microwave. Very comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of luggage space. Coffee/tea/sugar and biscuits. Each room has it's own designated parking. Reception woman was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be staying again soon

GGuest UserOverall, the hotel is very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are in good condition most of the time as they are cleaned up to five times a day. Kitchen utensils and storage place are provided and there are enough for everyone to share comfortably. The facilities are great — there’s a lounge, rooftop area, small movie theatre, gym, and even call booths for private calls. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here!

GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! As soon as I entered the lobby, I was impressed by its grandeur. The staff were all incredibly warm and friendly, and check-in was super quick with no complicated procedures. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, and the bed was so soft and comfortable, it made me want to fall asleep as soon as I lay down. The in-room amenities were also excellent; the TV, air conditioning, and kettle all worked perfectly. Plus, the bathroom was spotless and completely odor-free. The hotel's location is great too, with convenient transportation and plenty of delicious food and fun places nearby. I'll definitely be back to stay here again if I have the chance!
