Top rated hotels in Xinjiang

Pujing International Hotel
4.4/5187 Reviews
This 4 star hotel has a goid rating on Trip.com and I can understand why. However, I liken this hotel to a 20 year old luxury car such as an E36 7 series BMW or Lexus LS 430. Exceptional and glorious when new, but getting old and tired fast. On a superficial level the rooms look grand and sumptuous, but on greater scrutiny there are issues. One if these are the carpets, which are either in dire need of steam cleaning on a forensic level of thoroughness, or outright replacement. Some sections are worn and faded, while many odd bits and pieces can be found (and felt with bare feet), that seem to have escaped the attention of the room staff, e.g toothpicks, other miscellaneous refuse deposited by previous guests. I booked a continental double room, for $68 AUD per night and there was a misalignment of the door with its frame. Large enough to see through to the outside! The room contained a sofa Comfortable enough but with fabric badly worn away. The white veneer paint on tables has seen better days. Having said all this, overall, the hotel offers rooms of a relatively high standard. Ornate furnishings, large, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, a huge bathroom with sufficient water pressure and responsive hot water on demand (bathroom has a smart lighting arrangement which switches on via a sensor). There are a dozen individual controls for room lighting. Lots of cupboards and drawers and powerpoints where needed. There is a gym but for some undisclosed reason is currently closed, of February 2024. Is a buffet style restaurant with several guests dining in it which looked very well staffed. Reception will go out of their way to give assistance with arranging tours, ordering taxis etc, and try to ensure guests are satisfied. In summary, the hotel looks good and to some extent is good, but may not be worth paying $50 US a night to stay in and was a little disappointing.
Lavande Hotel (Turfan Grand Cross)
4.5/5472 Reviews
The hotel is in a good location, easy to find on the main road, with a parking lot, convenient parking. The room is spacious and has new facilities. The room is clean and sanitary. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. The Xinjiang girl at the hotel front desk was warm and polite, and the check-in experience was very good!
Grand Hotel Chogori
4.7/5630 Reviews
In the county town at the border of the motherland, this hotel really left a deep impression on me. When our car just drove into the hotel, a handsome little brother helped us with our luggage, and then another Tajik girl came out to greet us. I felt at home immediately. The appearance of the hotel is like a castle. The rooms inside the hotel are certainly not comparable to super five-star hotels. But it is also clean and warm enough. What touched me was that I didn’t order breakfast when I booked the room on Ctrip. The hotel front desk immediately gave me two breakfast tickets, and when I was eating breakfast, the Tajik girl kept reminding me and my children to eat more, because the next trip was on the plateau, and there were not so many delicious meals. When we checked out at the end, they saw that my daughter didn’t eat much for breakfast, and they specially gave me two boxes of self-heating rice, which really made me want to recommend to people all over the world that they must stay in this hotel when they come to Ta County. Let travelers all over the world feel the enthusiasm and warmth of the Tajik girl.
Jinjiang Inn (Kashgar Ancient City Scenic Area)

Ancient City of Kashgar
In that shower, it is best to turn on the small head first and then the big head, otherwise it will keep spraying cold water before it is in place... it will freeze to death... Finally, the small head is finished. The ancient city is quite noisy, and you can hear it even if you are not facing the ancient city. The location is good, facing the Spring Festival Gala stage
Borderlands Hotel

Xinjiang University Surrounding
It's very clean, has heating, and is comfortable to live in. The floor I live on actually has a laundry room and a gym. The price is amazing, and the main reason is that the service attitude is so good! I booked the room for two days and checked out early because of something else. The Uyghur lady at the front desk was very nice. I will stay at this hotel again next time, haha.
Jifeng International Hotel (Kashgar Ancient City International Convention and Exhibition Center)
4.6/5682 Reviews
The room is very big. Members can get a free room upgrade. The hotel is easy to find. Several Internet celebrity restaurants are very close. The starting price of a taxi in the ancient city. The hotel is surrounded by an automobile trade city. It is very convenient to maintain the car in the surrounding area after driving. Most of the hotel facilities are good, except for the air-conditioning duct. The machine is very noisy
Urumqi Junhe Box Hotel (West Daqiao Hongshan Park Branch)
4.5/5998 Reviews
Hong Shan
This hotel is located at a T-junction, single 2-way lane and a one way lane. The surrounding is not impressive but convenient to get local food and drinks (beer especially) and go around. The room is spacious enough and the clean bed linen gives us a good night sleep. Breakfast is typically Chinese style, soya bean drinks, porridge, boiled eggs and cooked food. No bread and coffee is provided. Nevertheless we stayed there for 10 nights.
Lanzhou Hotel
3.7/5125 Reviews
I chose Lanzhou because I lived here when I came to Horgos for more than 10 years. At that time, Horgos was not a city. The hotel yard did not say, the environment is good, and the green plants have always been maintained. But the room was not satisfactory, both rooms were backyards. Two rooms and one air conditioner are almost equal to no air conditioning, and the room has a cool feeling after 5 hours of opening. The air conditioner is too gray to be visible. The toilet light in one room is inductive, and I don't understand it if I am alone. The TV in the two rooms is small and small enough to show incomplete footage. The air conditioner was not turned on in the corridor, and it was stuffy.
Juman Hotel · Zhongshan Road South Gate Subway Station
4.6/5124 Reviews
People's Square Area
Convenient access to Nanmen metro station. Variety of shopping and dining options available near the hotel despite the hotel not offering meals. Rooms were modern and clean. The view from the room was quite nice as well. WiFi was however not available for clients without a Chinese phone number, which is incredibly annoying especially for foreign guests. The WiFi network also only allows one connection per phone number, which is a baffling design decision since I can't connect my phone and my laptop on the same WiFi network. Laundry is self-service and free using a machine near the lifts. Detergent was provided. There was a lingering cigarette smell in the corridors and in the lifts. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with major issues with the WiFi network.
Xana Lite Hotelle (Korla Shihua Avenue Kongquehe)
4.7/51004 Reviews
Come visit Korla, Xinjiang in the United States as the Eid al-Adha festival approaches! The journey and the car ride were quite tiring. First of all, when we arrived at the hotel, there was an underground parking lot, which was very convenient and right next to the hotel. Once we entered the hotel, the service and treatment were really good, not worse than those in star-rated hotels. There was free fruit. I remember there was a night shift guy who provided really good service. Because we mainlanders drink a lot of water, I called the front desk and the guy handled everything very well and promptly. He also asked us if we needed anything else. I told him that he would patiently explain to us what to do tomorrow, and even prepare a few bottles of water for us to drink on the way after check-out. Really considerate and comfortable stay. I am also grateful to the hotel for recruiting and nurturing such excellent employees.
