The hotel itself is beautifully designed, combining modern elegance with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The lobby immediately gave me a great impression – spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated – and the staff at the reception greeted me with genuine smiles and efficiency, making the check-in process smooth and quick. The room I stayed in was exceptionally comfortable. It was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything I needed, from a cozy bed with crisp linens to a well-stocked minibar, a flat-screen TV, and reliable Wi-Fi. The bathroom was another highlight: clean, modern, and fitted with high-quality amenities. One small detail I appreciated was how quiet the room was; I could truly relax without any disturbance from outside noise. The service throughout my stay was outstanding. Every member of the staff, from housekeeping to the concierge, went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. They were always polite, attentive, and ready to help with any request, whether it was arranging transportation, recommending local restaurants, or providing extra towels within minutes. The hotel’s location was another big plus. It is conveniently situated close to [city center / tourist attractions / business district], making it easy to explore the area without spending too much time commuting. Despite being centrally located, the hotel still offered a sense of peace and privacy, which I really appreciated after a long day out. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. From fresh fruits, pastries, and cereals to hot dishes and freshly brewed coffee, everything was delicious and well-prepared. I also had the chance to try the restaurant for dinner one evening, and the quality of the food and presentation truly exceeded my expectations. The facilities were equally impressive. The fitness center was well-maintained and equipped with modern machines, and the swimming pool area was clean and relaxing – a perfect spot to unwind. I also noticed the hotel offered a business center and several meeting rooms, which would be ideal for corporate travelers. Overall, my stay at this hotel was outstanding in every way. The combination of comfortable rooms, excellent service, convenient location, and great amenities made my trip unforgettable. Eşim ve küçük kızımız ile oldukça rahat bir otel deneyimi yaşadık. Temizlik harikaydı. Herkes güleryüzlü ve yardımseverdi. En ufak bir memnuniyetsizliğimiz olmadı. Hep güleryüz ve yardım ile muamele gördük. Kahvaltı dahildi ve oldukça yeterli bi kahvaltı çeşiti vardı. Her şeyi kaliteliydi. Gerek Almanya’da gerekse başka ülkelerde birçok otelleri de tecrübe ettim. Ben aile olarak gideceklere kendi tecrübemle kesinlikle bu oteli tavsiye ederim. Konumu ise merkezi her yere yürüme mesafesindeydi. Hemen önünde lidl market birkaç dükkan iletisinde aldi market ve McDonald’s gibi pek çok ihtiyaç duyulan mağazaya da 1 dk yürüme mesafesindeydi. Metro ve otobüs yürüyerek 2 dk mesafede. Bu yorumu bu kadar uzun yazmama değecek kaliteli ve konfordaydı. Teşekkürler.

Good hotel in a central location. Service was absolutely top notch. Due to a technical problem in our room, we were spontaneously offered a free room upgrade. The service employee at reception was extremely helpful and sorted everything out within a short time. We would be happy to come back.

The hotel was ordened. Unlike other Ibis styles, it was a little too simple. It looked like a red Ibis hotel.

From a basic hardware perspective, the hotel's amenities are well-suited for travel needs. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the air conditioning and hot water are consistently available. Basic furniture like desks and chairs, the TV, and Wi-Fi all work perfectly. The room layout is compact but not cramped, making it ideal for short business trips or as a travel base. Compared to a few years ago, the overall standard has significantly improved. In terms of cleanliness, it's also quite good. The bedding is changed promptly, and the tables and floors are cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom areas are also cleaned, with no noticeable hygiene blind spots, which makes for a reassuring stay. Most of the staff I interacted with were polite. The check-in and check-out processes were very smooth, and any small issues I brought to the front desk were handled promptly.

If we could give this hotel a review of 10/5 we would. We stayed for an extended time (16 days) and during that time we experienced the best and friendliest service. The reception staff was always friendly and cheerful. Everyone was ready to help with any question we had. Breakfast was amazing. The selection was terrific. And every morning we were greeted by the pleasant and happy staff. One staff member told me she loves her job. Who doesn't want to stay in a hotel where the staff love working? Several days my mother who travelled with me was ill and the staff made it so easy for me to take breakfast to her in the room. The room was terrific. We requested the accessible room and were not disappointed. Despite Ettlingen not being the most wheelchair friendly, Stadthotel Engel had every accessibility need addressed. The front entrance has no stairs. They have an elevator that stops at the breakfast room level. The bathroom in our room was wheelchair friendly with a raised toilet, fully accessible shower, and vanity that could accommodate a wheelchair underneath. We did not have a wheelchair but my mother has a walker which requires many of the same accommodations. The room has air conditioning for those who are concerned about that. The location is amazing. From the hotel you are directly in the old city and can walk to many stores, cafes, and restaurants. The hotel entrance is located in an inside court area where there are tables that can be enjoyed during the nice weather.

The first thing that really stands out about this hotel is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It doesn’t feel like one of those big, cold hotel chains where everything is a bit too perfect, controlled and inflexible. You can feel that this is a hotel that has lived, that has some history and soul But that definitely doesn’t mean the rooms are outdated, unclean or below standard. Quite the opposite. The rooms, especially the junior suites, are really big and very clean, with plenty of space. The terraces are a MEGA plus too. Honestly, good luck finding hotels with a real terraces nowadays. And the location is, in my opinion, the best in Bad Peterstal. The hotel is up on the hill, so the views from the rooms are just amazing. I definitely recommend getting a room with a view. There’s also a real sense of trust and openness throughout the place. It almost feels like staying in a huge family home — obviously a very big one, since it’s a hotel. This atmosphere is also very much reflected in the manager, who is super friendly and welcoming. He was able to accommodate a few specific requests, when I asked for something, there was always a solution. That’s something you really don’t get anymore in modern chain hotels, where there’s basically no room to customise your stay. Here, you really feel that there’s someone who cares to make things work. For me, this is easily the best hotel in Bad Peterstal. If you’re in the area and you’re lucky enough to see a room available, go for it!

The lobby is quite large and bright. Overall, it's quite comfortable and nice. The room is a bit small, but there's a small windowsill next to it, so you can put your things there without taking up too much space, which is convenient!

I had a few issues with my stay here, so I wasn't really sure how to rate the place. The first issue was with the air conditioning making buzzing noise from every 5 seconds while working to every minute while turned off. You can imagine the headache I was getting. I tried contacting the hotel via messages, emails, or calls with no success for 4 hours. To be fair, there might have been a problem with calling from my side (I was roaming), but it's strange that there is no messenger option (like WhatsApp, for example) for emergencies because it's hard to call while on international plan. Maybe they're not used to travelers from outside of the EU. Finally, my travel agent contacted the owner, and someone came to resolve the issue. Thank you to that man. But yeah, my plan to go to bed early failed. The next issue is that I found a cockroach in the room. Again, frankly speaking, it was barely alive, but I was terrified. And there were two flies in the room on top of that. However, I saw no insects after I had been moved to a different room. So, it either depends on the room category (I had a single originally), or it's a lottery. Not fun. The breakfast was good, though. Great variety of things to choose from, and the woman was quick to refill everything and clean up. The beds are comfortable, there's a safe in each room, and towels and other stuff are provided. It's located close to the park, but it's about 15-20 minute walk from the supermarket.

Breakfast was suitable for those accustomed to a typical German breakfast—bread, cold cuts of cheese and sausage, yogurt, and muesli. For those looking for more variety, particularly Asian travelers, the options might feel limited as there were no warm dishes or other typical Asian breakfast items. One minor inconvenience was that our bottled water was not refilled after the first night, which was a bit disappointing. Also, be sure to lock your door because the cleaning staff may enter in the morning without warning, which can be quite startling if you're not expecting it. Overall, it's a good place for a quick stay, with a solid, reliable atmosphere and great cleanliness. Just be prepared for a few minor drawbacks, especially if traveling with family, needing more space, or looking for specific breakfast options.
