Hotel Lynggaarden

This stay was exactly what we expected. The rooms and decorations are a little old but they are clean and everything worked well. We were happy for our free tea in the evening and the breakfast in the morning. We didn't interact with staff at the hotel due to COVID, but we were thankful for the precautions the hotel took to protect us during our stay. Plenty of hand sanitizer and signs to remind us to wear our masks!
Four Points Flex by Sheraton Aarhus Viby

Best way to describe this hotel is it is functional, not fancy. Everything you need for a short stay is available and they do advertise the rooms as ”industrial” look (i.e. unfinished ceiling). Check-in is only available via kiosk even if an attendant is available at the front desk. The elevator is 2-door style. WiFi connectivity was reasonable and TV was operational. Convenient that a small table with chairs is in the room and overall was spacious enough for 4 of us. Pros: free parking - close to many supermarkets and also the mall Cons: the curtains do not block out the sun sufficiently. Given the long the sun is up in summer, we had to improvise and clip the curtains together to get any blackout effect. For our specific room, the bed sheet had a stain on it (looks like it remained from an earlier wash). For a quick bite, try the Pølsevognen Viby Torv in the park across the street.
Guesthouse Sharon Aarhus

The guesthouse is located a moderate walk from the city centre but you can take the tram (if you can negotiate the faulty ticket-purchase system). Owner is friendly and helpful. Guests may use the kitchen to prepare breakfast etc. The place is clean and the wi-fi works.
Hotel Aarslev Kro

The hotel is a comfortable, motel-style, just outside Århus, quiet and with educated and professional staff. Clean and comfortable room, well isolated and air-conditioned. Free outdoor parking, right in front of the room. Breakfast rich and full of good quality products. We also tried the restaurant, at dinner, and we were satisfied. A tip for travelers: if you intend to enjoy a restaurant, book it in advance; the second night we found everything full and had to go to search restaurants elsewhere (there is nothing more in the area).

After Arriving in Denmark from Vietnam for a business trip, this hotel was a stone through from the office where I was going to be spending the next 10 days in Aarhus, Denmark. The Hotel is modern, functional and clean, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was perfect, the staff were always attentive and my overall experience during my stay was excellent. The hotel is somewhat outside of the town of Aarhus, but a small frequent train/tram service is literally a few hundred meters walk from the hotel... the hotel as a small bar where you can enjoy a nice cold pint of Danish Beer!!!
Hotel Skivehus

Nothing really to complain or praise about. Its well located but sleeping on the roadside means you'll hear all the cars running about if you leave you window open (also theres 2 gas stations near the hotel). The room was nice and clean and there's everything you need. Next door is a nice steakhouse and then McD's. Thes only one small and slow elevator. The staffs were not friendly but not rude either, said good morning to an older lady at the reception and she said good morning back while still looking at her computer without a smile. Thats all I can remember about this hotel. But do visit the steakhouse next door, the waitress gave plenty of smiles and good service!

Service was great when I told about the problems. We will get a discount next time. The owner is sweet. Nice clean sheets and towels.
Scandic Regina

This was a one night stay for us enroute from Norway to France. Free parking available right outside. It was a good sized room, nicely furnished and comfortable with good storage. The staff were very good and the breakfast selection, although relatively small, was interesting and kept topped up. Some traffic noise overnight if you like to have a window open and your room faces the E road. Standard Scandic offering, nothing great but nothing terrible either. Generally, you know what you’re getting with a Scandic.
Hotel Skjern

I was really looking forward to my 2.5 week stay in Denmark and I was staying in this hotel all of the time. First of all, I cannot fault the staff, they were super friendly and could not do enough to help throughout the stay. Sadly, the hotel was not so pleasant. It is located in the main square in Skjern and opposite the Railway station. Both places are the hang out for the local teenagers and with a bar in the square it is unbelievably noisy from Thursday and over the weekend, with lots of drunks shouting and screaming until 05.00 in the morning. I did not expect total silence but I was shocked just how noisy it is with a window open. The hotel provides ear plugs but even they are useless against the noise. We stayed in October/November which is a quieter period, I can imagine the outside noise being many times worse in the Summer. If you close your window, you face the next problem. The rooms have no ventilation at all. No a/c or way of circulating air. The bathroom has a heated floor which is set at 21 degrees and cannot be adjusted or turned off by you, so the room becomes very uncomfortable. The radiators also are set and after asking for the hotel staff to turn the radiator off, they still came on during the night, making it impossible to sleep. The hotel was full so another room was not possible despite it being requested. We were fortunate to have a bath but after my wife had finished the drain was faulty so the bath emptied over the bathroom floor. we quickly had to run down to the bar and ask for help. They gave us extra towels to soak up the water and said that it would be fixed the next day. After it apparently being fixed, the next bath flooded the floor again and after using more towels to mop up the water, we reported it but knew that is had not been fixed properly because when having a shower, water leaked onto the floor. We gave up reporting it. Some of our friends experienced power cuts on 2 occasions and were less than happy. The rooms have no storage at all. No drawers fore cloths and apart from 4 x hangers on an open rail, that is all you have. This is insufficient for 1 person let alone a couple. The bed is very comfortable, so that helped when we could not sleep due to the noise or the heat! Before we left, we booked a table for 14 people to have a meal in the restaurant. We booked for 19.00 and were asked to look at the menu in advance if possible. There are only 5 choices for the main course (steak, game, burger, vegetarian and a fish dish) and 3 for the starter. 4 hours before we were due to sit down, we were informed that we must make our choices by 17.00. This was not well received because some were uncontactable but we tried our best. 2 hours before, we were informed by a note left outside our room that the meal had been brought forward to 18.30. This was impossible to relay to all due their whereabouts. It resulted in one of the group, walking in from work and immediately having to sit down in work clothes. Th
Daniel&Jacob's Urban Studios and Boutique Apartments

We stayed at Kings Garden 1 in August. The location is on the top floor of an office building, and it is obvious the unit was renovated from a previous office space. Their listing specifically boasts an elevator available to use for a 4th floor unit. When we arrived, the elevator was not working. When we entered the unit, the floors were still completely wet from mopping. The kitchen area is an afterthought, with lack of storage space and items such as a cutting board or drying rack. There is no AC so we left windows open to keep the apartment cool, but there is a LOT of noise at night. However, one night there was a party next door in Daniel & Jacobs adjacent apartment, Kings Garden 2, that lasted from 11pm through the next morning past 10am. We could not sleep all night due to the loud music and noise from the party. When we contacted their email reception, which they claim is the fastest way to receive a response in 30 minutes, we did not hear back for over 3 hours. Then, when I finally heard back, I was given a security phone number to call for a complaint instead and they would not provide any assistance. We never received any follow up until I asked, and found out they did kick out the neighboring guests in THEIR apartment. This took multiple back and forth emails. They were not apologetic and would not issue a partial refund for the terrible night we had. Absolutely terrible customer service given the price of their units. Do not stay in any of their units if you want any sort of hospitality.
